Eurorack modular ambient // Oxi One with Spectraphone and Mutable Beads

  • Among the daily activities, I've tried in recent weeks to reflect on all the types of creative endeavors I've experimented with in the past year since I decided to embark on this phase in social media. And the other day when I managed to find some extra time to play and explore, the idea of cohesion came to mind.
    The rain that has frequently visited us in recent weeks is nothing but a cohesion of small water molecules that precipitate and come together on larger surfaces for a higher purpose.
    But cohesion is also a fundamental concept in psychology and personality theory, which is related to the idea that individuals have an intrinsic tendency to integrate and unify different aspects of their personality to form a coherent identity.
    Now, if we apply this concept to ambient music and its creation using a Eurorack system, we can see interesting parallels. In ambient music, we often seek to convey emotions through the creation of immersive and enveloping sonic landscapes, where various musical elements, such as synthesizers, effects modules, and field recordings, come together to form a cohesive and emotionally resonant auditory experience.
    Eurorack itself is a modular system that allows us to integrate the instruments and sound configurations that best fit an idea or theme we seek to develop. Each module is an "enabler" or a "part" of the music, such as oscillators, filters, sequencers, and effects, but the whole always requires that cohesion for the result to be balanced or capable of projecting the idea we have in mind.
    Patch notes=======================================
    A session based on sequencing created across two tracks on the OXI One, executed by various oscillators in the system: #spectraphon for the bass, #MutableBeads for arpeggios, and resampling of the ensemble passing through Mannequins #ThreeSisters, #QubitNautilus, and Noise engineering #Electusversio.
    Often, when I sense that "the Eurorack comes to life," I stand up in the studio and observe it from different angles, trying to listen or see new nuances or perhaps just to be a spectator for a few moments.
    From there, I play with generating tensions, feedback, and saturations according to the passage.
    I love it when from a simple idea, during a live performance, suddenly that moment appears as if everything was predestined to sound that way.
    If you enjoy it, and if you can, please give it a like. I would appreciate it so that more people could listen to it.
    Thank you very much for listening!

    So many different timbres here, all cohering beautifully. Captivating on the ears (and the eyes). Can’t wait to check out your other videos! PS wish we could have some of your rain here in Iowa. Has hardly rained for months…

      thank you so much for you kind words.. I hope you like the rest of the videos. In the channel you will find videos with radically different styles... with the only common base of using music as a language and experimenting with different ways of approaching it.

      Thank you for your kind words… I almost always don't plan where I'm going to start ...and even less where I'm going to end up, but in the end I always find myself identified in that dreamy atmosphere. 🤷‍♂️🤗

    You should not release “just” an audio album, it has to be DVD (I’m still oldschool), Blue Ray - what I mean: audio + video content. And this piece is another great example of your art people can get lost in and just enjoy.
    AMAZING 👌👏🙏 I love it !!
