I wish Cherno would've used them in the movie.

Cherno in all honesty along with Crimson Typhoon were my biggest issue with Pacific Rim... and not because they were bad designs or anything.... but because of the only scene where we get to see them fight, they get so built up, and they go down in minutes , it sort of reminds me of the original Resident Evil movie... you have an ELITE Specialist team designed to go into and secure your biolab in case of emergency , and you don;t even give them passcodes? like really? and as in Pacific Rim they come in liek badasses and die within 5 minutes en masse , these guys needed ALOT more screen time, a fight or two outside of their last stand so we could have gotten to SEE the badassness that they were supposed to be
It's fair to mention that the two Kaijus that took them down were designed to counter both Cherno and Crimson.
1Okoya1 yea those Kaiju were specifically sent to destroy Crimson, Cherno, and Striker after the Kaiju learned their weaknesses. So they were at a huge disadvantage.

Pacific Rim would have been an amazing Cinematic Universe with the right person overseeing the whole thing. It's a shame the sequel stunk.
I really would have loved to see more of Cherno Alpha. The pilots themselves looked interesting and I like that they had a "tank" mech to round out the Jaeger strike team.
I wich if they made a remake to the second movie

Cherno Alpha has been, hands down, the most badass out of this whole movie, this thing is low-key a tank. It’s just the bucket head style just makes everything look more eye-catching. And the fact that Cherno uses its fist and its turbines is 10x more badass then its design, not to mention when Cherno slammed his fist together to taunt the kaiju just made me fall in love with this beast more. And I haven’t seen any other jaeger be as intimidating as Alpha.

Say we omit Leatherback jumping from behind, I believe Cherno would still win, even with the acid.
If you watch closely, Cherno was about to deliver a punch and flamethrower to Otachi right before Leatherback jumped on Cherno's back.
And if you watch again, it took Leatherback long enough to kill Cherno even after the acid, Cherno was still trying to get up.
Cherno needs 2 kaijus to be destroyed.
Cherno was just unlucky having to battle vs 2 kaijus at once. Gypsy was lucky to battle Otachi and Leatherback in separate times.

I love how the movie doesn’t leave any questions unanswered even if they are hidden in the most smallest ways. The kaiju didn’t start winning until the fight with knife head and gipsy. The kaiju finally learned that the head was the weak point, this turned the table infavor of the kaiju. The only jaguars left were ones with traits that were hard to overcome. Crimson with the 3 arms could kill a kaiju before it could kill the pilots, Cherno didn’t necessarily have a head and what looked like the head was just the reactor that powered the armored titan, and striker was the fastest jaguar in commission. The thing I find cool is how when newt drifted with the kaiju brain and the dealer guy (forgot his name) said it worked both ways, they showed that it was true in the most minor ways. Newt probably new a good bit about the jaguars and knew their weaknesses which is how Cherno’s weakness was how he was too slow to keep up with the acid kaiju, or how they made the acid kaiju with a way to use the tail almost like how crimson has the triple arms and used it’s tail to catch crimson off guard and crush it’s head. Just found it cool.

I would have loved to have seen Cherno in one of its successful battles. It was supposed to be so powerful it could kill Kaiju with fists alone. I would have appreciated (even if only a flashback) seeing Cherno strike a Kaiju and crush its skull or snap its neck. While we didn't get to see that, I do have to agree with the movie that it was inevitable that both Cherno and Typhoon die in the fight against Otachi and Leatherback. After all, with the two-way transfer of knowledge from the drift with the kaiju brain that Newton initiated, the masters were able to craft Kaiju that were specifically designed to defeat them.
I chock up its loss to the fact it looks like a protectron from the Fallout game series and is what you get when a modder takes a protectron and tinkers with its scale settings....
My favourite part was that it's running on highly concentrated vodka

Yea thats when the Movie "Robot Jox" takes over, just ignore the exact dates and forgive the terrible now animations or what ever they used for the Robots, but the premise is there each nation fighting the war w/ its Robot champion deciding the fate of its nation.

Zarcastico well when you think about it no. Jaegers are extremely expensive to build considering they are funded by the un. If they were funded by seperate countries or even partnering countries itll cost even more funding. Resulting in less producttion of other military uses such as nukes and equipment. Leaving the country wide open for a direct assault. Theyd most likely strip down the jaegers to build regular weapons for warfare.
I like so much Cherno because actually it's the most realistic to build

My favourite moment is its taunt, it’s just good
But in terms of thinking about the moment and what could’ve happen if a certain thing didn’t exist. Aka leatherback, is when leatherback jumped Cherno.
It’s something for me to think about, because it was obvious that Otachi had an advantage in the fight, but Cherno was still getting some hits from the look of it.
When thinking about that sence (I don’t know how to spell and predictive text isn’t helping so no I’m not changing that), I always wonder if leatherback didn’t show up, maybe Stryker would’ve been able to save the pilots if not the jeager

Most Russian tanks had like 120 mm width of armor like this beautiful Jeagar. Like the KV-1 tank, it had really badass armor too
What I like best about him is that two kaiju we're beating him and he still only went down when they were forced under water

The "Extra Jaegers" Cherno Alpha and Crimson Typhoon where easily the weakest element of Pacific Rim, as they exist solely for shock deaths, and since their crew never had any lines or ever did anything useful they are literal throw away characters and designs (Cherno Alpha for a Votoms reference and Crimson Typhoon to sell to the Chinese).

I like cherno alpha because it is heavily armored, bulky, and strong even though it's lacking speed. Because that is my type of characters in games, slow but strong. Talking about games, if cherno is in some kind of game, it would be a tank class.
Cherno figthing otachi: headlock + punch + Tesla thing that accelerates the fist idk what it is + punch + smash(fail) + one incinerator turbine damaged + taunt + armor damaged critical = death

Man, such an underwhelming death after such little screen time. It’s truly too bad, could have had so much potential in the movie. If only Pentecost didn’t hold Striker back they could have been fine, and we would see many Kaiju faces get caved in.
Actually I’m watching the movie right now and it’s revealing the Jaegers in the Shatterdome. Crimson Typhoon and Striker Eureka are shown for a couple moments, but Cherno Alpha and its pilots get the Russian music and the cool shots. How could they let us down like that after a cooler reveal than the others?
Heres my theory if cherno either turnedcon his turbines to completely burn itachi and before leather back can come hell be ready to smash skulls

the pilots of this jeager easily had the worse death out of any of the pilots, since they would of been boiled to death by the water that would of boiling hot after reaching the jeagers nuclear reactor......And all that was even before Leatherback had crushed the cockpit so their death was not fast or painless.
And was taken down by a single cat 4. Gypsy avenger survived a COMBINED 2 cat 4s and a cat 5 until they destroyed the jaeger to kill the combined kaiju.

I always thought I was one of the only people who liked cherno alpha the most. Of the few surveys I've seen it keeps saying the Japanese one with three arms and buzzsaws for hands was the most popular. I simply cannot comprehend that, cherno is like a terrifying tank made for utterly ripping apart and smashing it's enemies. The crimson typhoon looks like it was made to make 8 year old boys cheer, it's so stupid. I'm so happy I'm not the only person who is enamored with this Russian goliath.
