Today we will be replacing my hp ink with my new 67 XL ink. Before installing a new set of cartridges, you need to confirm that you have the correct colors for your machine. This particular printer series can take both a high yield and the standard yield cartridge. Most consumers prefer to go with the higher yield cartridge because it yields quite a bit more ink. It is generally a better deal in the long run, especially if you purchase an aftermarket cartridge.

Thank you! At first I didn't find the video helpful, because I had done everything you said and it still didn't work. Then I noticed that, as you show, the proper ink cartridge is number 67! When I went to Staples, the salesperson gave me the 64, I guess assuming that this was correct for the 6400 series. Once I had the right cartridge for my printer, problem solved!

I literally only searched this to see how to move the ink outwards!! Can someone please help?! The only step I needed is the one step not shown smh this is the easy part
Hey all you have to do is lift the printer top up and touch where the ink goes it automatically moves outwards. Not sure on your end what’s wrong.

What if my cartridge does not move out of the place. It is stuck on the right....
As you lift the top up it should’ve been moved or if not pull it out. I’m not sure how it’s not moving out on your end
your beautiful hands were in the way when inserting the cartridge

Thanks for a great video/explanation. One question……what about all the illuminated buttons at the end. Do they turn off automatically or do you have to turn them off? If so, how?

It’s too thick for that small printer. I never tried it before but I think its too thick

A family member purchased this printer. The struggle to put in the ink cartridge is real. For that reason I would not buy this printer.
If you play around with it I don’t think it’s that hard.

There is no black and white ink. Only black...
Only black and tri color which is colored ink.
