Without any doubt in my mind, these young ladies absolutely will dominate the world of music for as long as they choose to do so. I fully expect decades from now they will be producing their 16th plus album and still not have a bad song in their catalogue.
    LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS!

This is why the TWA is so devoted to DPA and their team they are the nicest and most genuine people I've come across in this industry and I've been around a long time. Their interviews and after movies always impress. They previewed 2 new songs last night at their show and they were great. They've completed the 4th album so we're pretty excited as fans for the release of new material from these talented sisters. Best rabbit hole in rock and some of the solo covers they do are very impressive. Thanks I hadn't watched this in a long time so it was most enjoyable.

They always say mom and dad are part of the band but they are not musicians. Dad co-manages the band along with Rudy Joffroy. Dad was actually an engineer and mom was a dentist. They both travel with the band and make sure everything goes smoothly and have always been very protective and supportive of their daughters. It's just the 5 of them, no other siblings but they tend to refer to anyone on their extended team as family and treat their fans the same way. Needless to say, The Warning Army is also very supportive of the ladies.

Just so y'all know... The room they are sitting in is "The Cave" a downstairs recording room in their house that their father built... Off to their left the mirrored glass is their recording boards and their video setup... Also, directly in front of them (behind the camera) is an entire wall of mirrors... The girls grew up seeing themselves playing and performing... In several of the videos from that room, the ladies spend 90% of the time looking straight at us while speaking and discussing back and forth... Great review !! Love your work !!!⚡️⚡️⚡️

Dany answered my question on Patreon whether it was their idea or their dad's idea for the mirror in front of them. Dany said it was their dad's idea. I think this was very instrumental in them having such a strong onstage presence.

I would also recommend the documentary Mayday in the Making. It is a 6 part interview, but each part is only 5 minutes so can be done in one reaction. They also debuted two new songs last night in their concert that will be on their new album and the songs are fire. Good to know their next album seems to be the same music they been playing their whole lives. Great reaction.

Apart from the (2!) TEDx Talks I strongly suggest 6 5-minute parts documentary Mayday in the Making. They give an even more detailed background with group and solo interviews as well as reactions from their parents, manager, Lava Records exec's and producer and recording crew of the Mayday EP/Error album. It is a great 30 minute total way to learn even more about them. 😃

2015 was the pivotal year in the history of the band. That was when they made the decision to stop (mostly) recording covers and concentrate on original music. They were 10, 13 and 15 years old at the time. They've received guidance and wisdom from their mentor, Pablo Gonzalez Sarre, but they've always made their own decisions regarding their music.

This documentary is a tribute to the class, intelligence, maturity, and talent of these three young women. I was a child of the '70s and got into some classic rock but overall was never a major rock fan. However, something about the Warning caught my attention over a period of months. It got to the point where I had to keep listening to them and learning about them because my gut told me that they were special. The more I learned the more I became addicted in a good way. I have come to love their type of music because I love who they are. They have inspired me to appreciate rock in a different way. I can honestly say that these three sisters have Grammys in their not too distant future. I had the opportunity to see them in person a couple of months ago in Boston in a small venue of 500. The energy that they give off in person is 10 times what you see on video, because you feel it. The world is taking notice and I believe that in short order you will not have the opportunity to see them in such a small venue. They will ultimately be selling out stadiums! They are that good. I enjoy your reactions thoroughly and look forward to more. Piece and love.

Guess you figured out eventually this was a documentary, and not like the Ted Talks. So much has happened with them since this was made a couple of years ago. Like a lot! It's good to get acquainted with their past, to grasp the entirety of their story. There is another documentary after this one called MayDay in the Making. Mayday was their 6 song EP they made to promote on tour when the pandemic broke, and they could restart their touring after a 2 year concert ban. This shows the process in making that EP, which morphed into a full LP later in 2022, named ERROR. They spent the winter with the Recording Producer in NJ, and learned some more. What they learned that winter, has propelled them to new heights, and that hard work is paying off right now. You will hear from the parents, the manager, the record executives, and more. There are still yet more videos like this one too. LOL Have fun!

pau starts the writing process on about 90% o9f their songs. Ale and Dany each have written a few songs by themselves. Ale wrote Take me down by herself when she was 8 and came up with the idea for Dust to Dust. The oldest song in their set list is when I am alone, Dany wrote that by herself when she was homesick at 14.

Just a note here that what they say is their 3rd "album" here was really a 6 song EP called Mayday which was then re-released as part of a full 13 song album called ERROR. It's an important note about their discography especially when trying to cover reacting to all their songs.

They debuted two new songs on Saturday in their concert at the Teatro Diana in Guadalajara. Both are great and I think the new songs lay to rest any concerns that they were going in a more Pop direction. And yes, Pau is more comfortable speaking in English, and more fluent in conversations. Dany isn't afraid to talk, but I think her delivery in English is a little less fluent. They say when they are composing, Dany will say things that confuse them.

  • @abrchief
    @abrchief 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

That is a great documentary and reaction to it. Pau definatley likes to talk and can get rather loud, so she usually dominates conversations. Pau also has that creative mind to come up with lyrics out of nowhere, From their they all Rockify the songs. Mayday is also an excellent documentary about recording the Error album and getting signed to a record contract. Continue watching the Teatro Metropolitan concert. A big bulk of their catalog is played there. I can't wait until your next reaction.

This was recorded in early 2022 or late 2021. Released in Feb 2022.
For more insight in their creative process you can watch
    - Mayday in the Making 6 part docuseries recorded just after the band finished their 3rd album, Error, in late 2020
    th-cam.com/video/Ti2vmY3wsgY/w-d-xo.html
    - Pau's Masterclass from Soundcheck Expo 2022 where she explains in detail her creative process & use of technology to run the band's live shows. Turn on subtitles. She has about 500 song ideas stored in her phone
    th-cam.com/video/GMBy4yS86OY/w-d-xo.html
Pau is their main composer & songwriter. In a way she is the default spokeswoman for the band. The sisters have been around for more than a decade. Their journey is so eventful & inspirational that it sucks you in. Probably the most well documented band in history we can find everything on social media right from their classical piano playing days as 6 to 8 year olds. Always check the date of video / song you are reviewing & its backstory.

The unique thing i found about The Warning is that when they play a concert in Mexico, the crowd is singing along in English. Then, in North America, when they play their Spanish songs, you have Americans and Canadians singing along in Spanish. Who else can accomplish that? I know of no band that can do this apart from The Warning.

Pau and Ale were exceptionally talented right out of the box. Dany on the other hand was very shaky for a long time imo. She has shown by far the most growth, and has a very resilient spirit as well. Despite being the oldest, and the frontperson/singer/guitarist of the band, she has always been in Pau's shadow, even having to sing Pau's songs rather than her own fo the most part. She has also had some very embarrassing moments on stage and on live TV, that would have broken a lot of people. But she always takes everything in stride and bounces right back, and has improved greatly over the years, likely due to a lot of hard work.
Once I could see past Pau's immense talents, Dany became my favourite in the group. Her personality is absolutely amazing, and she is a great frontperson for the band, and a great role model.

Agree, Dany has a great gift to laugh at herself and stay humble. But as a guitarist myself, I have noticed even at an early age, she has always had the skill to play lead lines and guitar parts WHILE singing lead vocals that don't have similar rhythms, which is not an easy thing to do. I ❤ Dany, but Paulina is my hero ! ⚡
