After a quick look at Google Maps, the lake that's closest to being 80 miles from Santa Fe (by (aforementioned (parked)) car) is Lake Isabel, at 79 miles away. Carson Reservoir is just under 70 miles away, and I think he stressed enough that said lake is 80 miles away.

This was the First Dance song for my wife and I. It is actually a beautiful song. No body in the crowd even heard the lyrics repeating. It was the second marriage for both of us, so it was a very small amount of people. We had a gorgeous outdoor venue by a lake about 80 miles from Santa Fe. To be honnest, the crowd was just 2 people. We sat parked in my truck.

A buddy of mine and I have always had a joke that you can take the first lyric of any song and sing it for the entire song in different ways, so after we make a record, I go into the vocal booth, and as a joke, sing a one take ad-libbed vocal and see what happens, and then, in this case, we went and did some three part harmony on it and “Parked Out by the Lake” was born from my song “Vacant Motel Heart” that Paul Jacobsen and I wrote. I never intend for anyone to ever hear them because they are just inside jokes and goofing around in the studio, but I’d show someone from time to time (thus the private SoundCloud link on a random account), But I’ve been getting a barrage of text messages lately etc, so thousands of people have now heard it somehow through the spread of that private link. I’m glad people think it’s as funny as we did when we made it."
