I'm glad we have the compact hot hatch category taking off. As you said in a previous video, hot hatches were meant for car guys on a B&Q budget. Focus RS and seat Cupra are the cost what what an M3 used to be
Your Fiesta ST video came up on my feed a week or so ago and have popped around your channel for a bit now. Exceptional work and feels totally organic/personable. As a hot hatch enthusiast, I can only say keep up the cracking work 👍🏻
Great vid as always, I swapped my auto m140 to a manual and I ain’t regretting it one bit, wished I got one in the first place, picked it up for bang on 20k
You won't be disappointed. What colour did you go for? The one thing I found strange was that even though Ste's car is 'Fiery' red (I think that's its name) the stitching inside and all of the interior buttons are blue...
Yeah strange...but I think might of been better if all colours was the same as the stitching inside 🤔 So I ordered the performance blue and black roof and bose speakers..I've seen all colours apart from the silver and I think the performance blue just looks and pops the best plus it's the N flagship colour
Really enjoying these videos. In an age where chatting bollocks to the camera with no interesting visuals is the norm, these narrative formats with good graphics and solid filming are a welcome change.
Low mileage ep3 or fn2 type r can be picked up for £10k now and very popular especially the championship white or post 2010 fn2 with a limited slip differential or an m200
The polo gti.. i get it man, I have a ibiza cupra, the 1.8 (same thing as the polo) and it has ridiculous power, its violent with the 320nm of power, but it feels too serious! Still a great daily
Hi! If anyone ever sees this comment, I'll love an answer to this next question: Is there a fun (agile) car, reliable, with 4 doors, decent boot space, under 8k and preferably a 2l or less engine? The Suzuki Swift Sport is almost perfect, the only problem is that it has a small-ish boot. Thank you!
Got my Astra J (GTC) VXR for 8k fully loaded. A lot of car for the money and not many people pick this shape up. A worthy look for people with a budget of 10k. More of a motorway/ straight line car though.
Part 2 to include the 208 GTI, maybe the Peugeot Sport edition with the torsen LSD... 😁 Go out and drive one man... you might be later that day trading in the ST 😅
I like the look of them. Whether I'd buy one I'm not so sure. The Clio 197s aren't too far behind them power-wise and you could save yourself a few £££ going for one of them.
Does a Focus ST, Astra VXR or Megane RS250, i30N etc not fit into your categories? Your categories are missing a lot of the best hot hatchesq that are bot much bigger.
Fair one, I was also thinking Golf GTI, even Golf R or M140i for under 20k these days. Appreciate they're maybe a little bigger but bang for buck I'd be hunting down a B58 engine.
The Yaris isn't a hot hatch... it's a homologation car. And isn't based on the standard Yaris at all as the other hot hatches is totaly based on the standard car. Yaris GR is todays Escort Cosworth that wasn't based on a standard Escort. So, OK... Yaris GR is a hot car... But not a hot hatch.
I'm glad we have the compact hot hatch category taking off. As you said in a previous video, hot hatches were meant for car guys on a B&Q budget. Focus RS and seat Cupra are the cost what what an M3 used to be
Keep going matey. Good standard of videos your pushing out. Keep grinding and you'll reap the rewards. Looking to get a i20N sometime this year

Ordered my i20N back in March just waiting for delivery...good video as always

@@philliz2629 aye can't go wrong with blue. Seen 1 silver one so far. Amazing tbh.
I do love the jcw mini. I agree with everything you said though. Great video 😁 x

Would love to see a cheaper budget video mate, looking to pick something up for a project car :)

Purposely left the civics out as they're not really as 'compact' as these car, but yeah they're still good shouts for the budget!
Great video! I test drove the i20N and was super impressed, but in the end I went for the bigger brother, the i30N.
What’s it like?
@@jackcalder2937 2 years later, and I still absolutely love it!
I'm in-between on the fiesta at or 208 GTi
Probably pick st just for the more smiles per gallon lol
Not quite a compact, but got myself a 308GTi 270 last year, and it's cracking 👍
salute im in a 250 those who know
Everytime he tells us to sit down a grab a cuppa, I do just that. Need longer vids to warrant actually drinking the tea though LOL.
If they didn't take me 2 weeks to make already I'd give you some longer content haha
@@lookship lol. Hard work then!! Love the visa mate
Love watching your videos mate, keep doing what you’re doing :)
Thanks dude
Brilliant video as per!
Fiesta at anytime 🎉

I like the red one
Agreed Sally the red one is very nice. Stick kettle on I'm gasping x
You have excellent taste Sally ❤️
Top video as always
Awesome video dude
Cheers boss 👍

Yeah a little bit too big for me to categorise them with the likes of these cars. Same with the Megane...
@@lookship Yeah that's fair
£10k Megane RS Mk3, actually picked mine up for 7 before used car prices went mad 😁 feedback and handling is a different league to my M140i was
Surprised the Scirocco r not on your list.
Not really a compact hatch. Probably the most boring "spicy" hatch there is though 😆
I have a N55 M135i with 320hp and my 230hp Rx8 was a lot more fun in b roads jajaja. Sometimes more is not better
Part 2 to include the 208 GTI, maybe the Peugeot Sport edition with the torsen LSD... 😁

Ugh you mainly look at the fun side and not the reliability, the first car you threw away in the 10k list was the most reliable :/ so yeah...
The Swift Sport? I'd rather have a more 'unreliable' brand like a Ford and enjoy driving it than have a more 'reliable' car that's underpowered.
Fantastic video
Thanks bud 👍
The power of importing a kei car....
I dunno the word
Compels you
Thoughts on an r26? Great budget car that seems to be going up in value

Just talking about the small ones in this vid 👍

5k 15k and 20k hahahaha
The megane rs 250 and mazda 3 mps are both under 10k?!
They're also not very "compact"
part 2 with cheaper cars!
208 gti?
Drove a clio RS on a back road for work and couldn’t see what the fuss was about 🤷♂️

So, OK... Yaris GR is a hot car... But not a hot hatch.
It's a hatchback and as you've just stated yourself - it's hot. Therefore it's a hot hatch...
You saw an i20N for £22k🤥🤥🤥🤥 co part? 9 month waiting list for new and second hand are premium over new price currently
Certainly did. On a FB group. Fairly sure it was from a dealer too which was mental.
Kia picanto gt line s 🥹
i also made a list in my channel. I listed 8 cheap hot hatches. Check out if you interested
Get a type r any budget wrong uns
Wouldn't class it as a compact hatch. More in the same league (size wise) as the Golf R etc...
