Still love your channel, Josh ;-) Especially, how friendly you deliver even to the lower budget oriented viewers… As about 500 bucks do not seem too much to get started, I would nevertheless consider tripling the amount and wait a bit if this is not in reach any time soon. From about 1500 € on, you will enjoy your coffee journey even more. I would have a look at a solid machine like a _Profitech Pro 300_ for example. Yes, I know this is a totally different price range once you really have all the stuff you need for that… But 500 bucks being part of a more sustainable solution feels better than craving for better quality after a short period of time. And yes, I had been waiting for 25 years until my _ECM Synchronika_ dream came true. Just calculate your very personal scenario, how much bought coffee you are consuming and when you would reach this specific price range of barista ”high tech“. It might be quicker than you assume. Enjoy your coffee journey ;-)
I don't believe so no. It comes default with pressurised baskets - and I would think after too much time using non-pressurized baskets - it may shorten the lifespan significantly.
Maybe not ‘very’ loud - but certainly noticeable over others. Being plastic, it doesn’t really amplify the noise, I think like steel machines can - but yeah vibratory pumps in general- there’s not too many that won’t wake a household 😅
Any tips on a non-pressurized portafilter/basket that will fit this machine? They seem to be elusive. I'm looking for a small, simple inexpensive machine for my office and this one looks to fit the bill, but I would like to get away from the pressurized basket if possible. Thanks!
There hasn't been any non-pressurized portafilter/basket I've come across sorry. Even if there were - I'd be concerned that the machine may not be able to handle it long term. The best non-pressurized machine I'd go for the Gaggia Classic - but it is 2-3x more expensive.
I bought the Edesia espress naked portafilter that works superbly with the Evolution. The difference is really worth it I only use the pressurised basket for when i need two single shots for a light coffee. PS: I got the Edesia from Amazon UK.

great video- I enjoy your presentation style Josh
I appreciate that! Thanks Mitch 🙌
Thank you for the video! Could this machine handle non-pressurized basket?

@@AlternativeBrewing thank you
Yes it can. Been using one for last 8 months. Edesia Espress. Works like a charm and a big big upgrade to the stock pressurised one
Nice, useful rundown. Cheers.
Glad you liked it
Is Gaggia espresso evolution and classic pro same machine or different models,⁉️ and which model is better espresso machine ⁉️
The Evolution is newer and has a few upgrades over the Classic Pro, though both are fantastic machines.
Well done Josh 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks mate! 😃
Hi Josh, great video mate. I couldn’t tell from watching the video but is it a loud machine with the vibratory pump?

Hey Josh, it sounds like you have a head cold. Feel better soon.
😅 yeah is it that obviously!
Thank mate 🙌
How does this compare to the Bambino plus? I reckon it's on the same tier in terms of function and price point?
Bambino much better quality
Is it better than delonghi ec685?
you gotta spend about 70-90$ on accesories (portafilter, no pressurized baskets) and you'll get the same quality espresso as the evo.
What portafilter fits/works with this machine??
E61 or death !!! 💪💪💪
For the same price but with better function, go for bambino.
Oof. ill stick to mini barista.
Gaggia: Please, pronounce the middle 'gg' as *dj* not *jshz*, as in 'budgie' or, better, 'fudger'. Thank you. 🙏🏼
thanks so much - I will try from now on 🫶
😂
If the
that is the cheapest portafilter i have ever seen
