Cool web app. I tried it also by using a youtube video URL but I do not see the wave form of the audio signal in the widget where I set the sync points. In the description of the free plan there I read "Sync with TH-cam videos". Is this a problem with the newest version of Google Chrome?
Yeah, sometimes TH-cam blocks the generation of those waveforms. Not much we can do about it, unfortunately. But you can still create syncpoints. Press play, then tap "T" on each downbeat as you listen. You can always tweak your syncpoints after the fact by moving them left/right.
One further question: Does exist a keyboard shortcut to increment a note a half/full step up/down? I did not find anything in the keyboard shortcuts. Only octave up/down is supported. OK, I can use the mouse. But for almost every function keyboard shortcuts exist.
Yes, look for the "Move up diatonically" and "Move down diatonically" commands. If you don't have a keyboard shortcut currently assigned to those commands, you can add a custom one.
@@soundslice Great that it is possible. I have to become a pro user. So I have to think about it, cause I'm not a musician, only hobby keyboarder. But anyway. Thanks a lot again for your very helpful and fast answer !!
So I was transcribing with you (really helpful tutorial, thank you) but I just have a question: why is the English Horn listed as a brass instrument? Can you please fix this? Thank you.
I can follow everything except the timing part, how do you sync up the notes to the song you are transcribing? I don't get that part at all. I am just trying to tab out a song howto on youtube. It would be great if you could just tab out all the notes and then drag them to where they should be played on the timeline. I tried that but it doesn't seem to do it. I can't tell what dragging the notes even does. Awesome software otherwise, thanks.
The key is to do the syncpoints first. Listen to the music, then hit T on your keyboard on every downbeat. You can then drag the syncpoints left and right as needed, for fine tuning.
I'm just starting to use this tool, and one thing I can't figure out is how to add rests. Nowhere in the documentation is it mentioned. What am I missing here?
Your tools must be a dream come true for people who are wanting to improve their transcribing. Thank you. Brilliant.
This is incredible. I feel like I'm already way too good at swapping between musescore and youtube though LOL
This is unbelievably awesome
So, so useful! Thank you so much for the tutorial.
Great tutorial, still a very hard work. Thanks.
Damn, this looks like a freaking magic! Just started playing piano, I WANT TO LEARN THIS CRAFT! :)
Thank you so much!
If you know the notes is easy, but if you ignore that I think is more dificult. But a very nice job developing this tool.
Is it possible to download pdf’s of the sheets of yourslef and other people?
Yes, see here: www.soundslice.com/help/en/player/basic/142/printing/
Awesome software tool!
So, you've basically combined Transcribe! with a notation program. It's too bad it can't transcribe automatically from a music file.
You have a great ear!
this is so cool!

@@soundslice Thank you very miuch for your help. Yes. That worked.
Can this support spotify?

@@soundslice Thanks so much for that info! Will check it out.
You could use some illumination on your face when recording videos. Good video, nonetheless. Thanks!
Yeah, like that isn't actually Ed Norton.
Haha, thank you!
Improve your software to take a draft pass at an auto transcription, and you'll have a hit.
