- A fun fishing adventure on The Gold Coast Broadwater. There's so many options this time of year, especially now the water has cleaned up!
The gear we used today:
Shimano Stradic 1000 with 6lb braid and 10lb leader.
Shimano Vanford 5000 with 30lb Powerpro Braid and 40lb line.
The lures included Holt Production Swimcrabs, 15gram metal slug, MMD soft prawn 2.1gram

Last winter on my son's first boat and first trip we had a school of northern tuna around the boat. Such a great time to share with our children and families.❤

That brings back memories when i used to take my son mitchell offshore when he was 4 yrs old and he really enjoyed stabbing the mac tunas at back of boat with a knife for the burley trail😂

Most creek ramps and pontoons are good places to catch Tarpon. Giant Herring usually caught while trolling close to rocky shores and creek mouths. At night during summer and spring the tarpon and Barramundi are constantly going past. Small poppers red and white, silver,metal lures that best everything and last a lifetime
