When you catch and keep a fish, please show us the filleting and maybe a cook up?
There’s a video of a sushi chief braking down a bluefin and makes a killer meal. Got to check out Outdoors Chiefs Life!
Nah head to field days his a fellow Aussie that does all that sh*t
Tuna never give up, I can remember fighting a 17kg Bluey for nearly 2 and a half hours on 6kg line. Best fight ever! Thanks for triggering that memory with another great video Nev.
Awesome mate! Cheers for watching
Even when they're spent, they will put a pectoral fin out and spiral down to the bottom, like this one appeared to do! Awesome fish!
magnificent Animaĺ !>;Cheers.
2 and a half hours is bloody insane!!! How did you do it?
@@KaGoyong Thanks for your comment, I enjoy giving a fish a fighting chance, skull dragging a 2kg fish out of the water with 10kg line is not my style. Isn’t the fun of fishing the fight? I always catch and release unless the fish is injured. Cheers and happy fishing 🎣
Best fishing show on TH-cam...hands down! Great content, brilliant presentation!
Just keep doing what you're doing, Nev...you're on fire, bloke!!!
Thanks heaps!
4:56 What a big fish!🐠
Wanna fish up like the fish which he did!
9:33 interesting!🎉
It looks so delicious!!
It was!
That was brilliant mate. Thoroughly enjoyed watching.
Damn, that’s a chonker of a tuna. You Aussies are lucky to be able to pull such fish like that and that lovely snapper, but you also release so many catches and that plays a big part in the fishing being so awesome. Good on you mate, thanks for another great vid.
Thanks mate!
We get the long tail tuna up here in Nhulunbuy NT and Dad and I caught about 50 tuna between us in four days. It is very hard up here because there are sharks every where but there would be about 50-60 tuna in a school and there would be about 4-5 schools of long tails all going at once. Well done on your first tuna every i was stocked when i caught my first one 🎉🎉🎉
I wish I could do this only 14 soi can’t in my paddle yak, this made my night a little better as I’m fighting the worse sunburn of my life tonight
Congratulations on your first Tuna in the Yak Nev! That’s fantastic fishing and makes great viewing, excellent video mate. 👍🏼
Thanks for watching mate :)
So jelly of the snapper you pull often. Have really enjoyed your channel especially the bream and flatty fishing 🎣. Thanks Nev 👍
Those big sharks are out there chasing the tuna ; there was a 5m great white sited at cape woolamai a few weeks back
great video mate! Thanks
Hell yeah, got busted of by my Pb trevally today but this makes it up
Nev mate where is this ?
Awesome fight and catch, top job Nev
Unreal offshore vid once again man👍 Congrats on your first kayak tuna, absolutely epic😅
Appreciate it mate
Good onya mate, another great ep, and cracking fish. Glad it didn't go to waste, they're brilliant eating.
I like that you’re exploring new places other than the island. Great vid nev
Thanks! :)
@@NevsFishing is this in noosa?
NO WAY NEV! Can’t wait to watch the video tonight. I fished the Goulburn yesterday, 45 CM Yellowbelly, 50 CM trout and a 32 CM Trout. You should make some more freshwater fishing videos, maybe some cod vids when the season opens. No doubt this video is gonna be epic as usual. Thanks Nev all the best mate❤❤
Thanks mate! Good job on the fish, I'm yet to catch a yellowbelly
Sick vid bro, when ya coming back to vic?
Can see your Subs going NEXT LEVEL in '24 !
Youre a Champion , the channel is Outstanding and i wish you every success thats about to come your way!!
Thanks for taking us along on your journey.

Bloody ripper Nev!! Those tuna taste great!! 👍🏽🍻🐟
Some great fish there mate, good day out. Cheers.
I literally just dropped my first tuna yesterday of the rocks. Awesome job you make it look so easy
Congratulations on the tuna 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks!
Damn, what a fish mate! Pure skill to get that bad boy on such light gear!
Also............ 60k!!!!! LET'S GOOOOOOOO!!!!! Grats mate, well deserved!!!! So stoked for ya!
Appreciate it! 60k doneskiiiiiiiis!
Apologies... 60k what? What are doneskies?
@@n4nn0x no apologies needed. 60k Subscribers to Nevs TH-cam Channel and Nevs response was saying "60k Subscribers Done!"
@@n4nn0x hope that makes sense
@@AbysmalTomb16 it does, thanks mate!
Absolutely amazing
Insane Nev. Awesome snapper to start off too
Another cracking video mate, love watching you’re videos.
Your videos are very enjoyable to watch Nev, great work.
Thanks :)
Wow epic fishing Nev. Congratulations on 60k, well done.
Thanks mate!
Pretty sure when tuna stop swimming they instantly die, that’s why they don’t usually release well
Great video though love your work 👍🏻
Just amazing, Nev!
Thanks Tony!
great video mate your so lucky to be able to catch snapper , here in sa we are stopped until 2026 ,the tuna were here last year maybe they might turn up again this year .
i just got my first baitcaster and im so excited
Love watching your fishing
Videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with people. Love the hobie too hopefully I’ll be getting an outback in a few months.
Wow...Impressive catch mate and loving the channel. I'm looking at kayaks at the moment and would love to see a rundown on how you've set your Compass up. Was initially looking at Outbacks but like the idea of a lighter weight for car topping. Plus there are plenty of mods that you can do with the compass to bling it up. :)
Wow congratz !!!
When Nev catches a big fish “He’s only a small one”
When Nev says there’s a big arse shark you get the hell away from the water 😂
What a fish! I was a bit worried when you got worried yourself about that shark in the area! You then gutted and prepped the Tuna Which I would have waited to do on shore after that shark hanging about!
Hahah true!
Keep it up Nev amazing tuna on the light gear gos crazy!
also when are you down freshwater fishing for trout next because I know some really good spots where you catch huge trout (they are in my video)
The Young Man and the Sea. One mans struggle against a giant game fish as sharks circle.
That was a great episode Nev! 2 huge fish for dinner!
100% more offshore bro. Very nice catch
will do :)
Well done Nev good fish.
sick vid bro keep up the good work bro
you have the best fishing videos keep up the good work
Tuna are such amazing predators, the fact that they will essentially cook themselves through exertion and die is mind blowing
Yeah its crazy!
Still yet to catch a tuna from shore in NSW. Lost 1 longtail and also a mac tuna which was almost landed but rubbed me off at the end.
Love to see smoke coming out from that reel
Nice job grear to see your channel growing.
good on ya mate great fish
your vids are so entertaining. keep it up.
bloody amazing, well done!
Yeah buddy! Love this content and nice catch, keep it up!
Awesome video Nev. Smashing some decent fish there.
Cheers heaps mate! Keen to start getting back to the local stuff now
this is crazy great job hope i can do that one day!!
Awesome video as usual bro
So awesome! We have had bluefin getting within 2-3 miles off shore in late fall in California. I’m planning on trying to get the epic slay ride in the kayak! Was fun watching!
Good effort mate....chasing Longtails in my Hobie was so much fun up on the Sunshine Coast.....recently moved back to SA so hoping to get amongst the Southern Bluefin in the future
Awesome work Nev it's not easy on the yak with some of those big fish, are you still fishing NSW I thought after Yamba you was heading back to Vic?
nev takes kayak fishing to a whole another level keep up the wrk
Cheers!
Wow, another monster fish on the Kayak and with sharks circling! Does the famous Jaws line: “Gonna need a bigger boat”, come to mind at moments like that, Nev? 🦈😬
Even though I haven’t watched the whole video yet. Nev, I respect the grind, love your work and am so excited to watch your content every Sunday. Thanks for providing such ripping content.
Thanks mate, hope you enjoy!
Excellent TH-cam, really enjoyed. WOW, the Tuna, well done! Look forward to watching your other videos, thank you.
Nev is the best but u should come down to melbourne and see if u can catch anything in st kilda or brighton??? idk maybe if you want. Literal fishing idol. Btw where do you go outside of westernport when looking for big snapper or flattys?
Y would he want to leave this for Brighton 😢
@@trxq7173 fax tho but i wanna meet him🤫🤫
@@ThatAsianGuy991 pull up together you catch anything at Brighton I only been there twice always sneak behind the fence and go to the back
I haven't caught anything besides Toadies tbh
So sick hoping to target longies this coming season, great catch 👏
That was epic man, that's a monster Tuna from a kayak! Good work man! Got to be happy with that! 🤙
My dad is a commercial fisherman and he said to be careful of white pointers around this time now that the whales are passing, he has court them right were your fishing and had inconters with big one and we love your videos

Time for a DIY live bait tank Nev??
Another great vid Nev.
Awesome work.
Say what day was this?.
And yeah we get some big white sharks out the front here
G'day Nev, i just wanna say i love these vids so much bro, and i have a question, what is your favourite rod for squidding, kingy/tuna, and bait?
Another great video. Been trying to get one of those big boys from those rocks behind you for a couple of years now. Normally they disappear around April/May but this year they just keep popping up. Well done and keep the footage coming.
What rocks are them behind him then?
Hello from Oregon! How lucky you are to have a go at these tuna! Water temps are 44 degrees Fahrenheit here and no chance. Nice content!
Keep it up mate love the vids
Thanks heaps mate!
Northern Blue...
Nice catch! Love your videos and I ride the Compass as well.
May I ask what lb leader you used for that plastic? Thanks
We need another vid targeting tuna 😅
Yeah
I would love more offshore kayaking! Thanks for the tip with the soft plastics, just wondering how deep you were and how heavy the jig head was. I've been trying longreef in Sydney and seem to find snapper on the sounder in 25-30m but lose contact with the lure using a 1/2 oz jig head and 9" jerk shad and revert to micro jigging
Great video nice fish did it taste good
thats a nice little blue fin
Nev, this is getting all too easy for you mate. You need a decent fishing challenge so how about launching your yak in Cooktown then peddle 130 km out to the Ribbon reefs, past Lizard Island, and target 1,000 lb+ black marlin ?
Hahahaha I'd like to see you paddle 150ks out to a reef
It would only be a 130 km peddle from the Cooktown boat ramp out to the famous black marlin-rich Ribbon reefs past Lizard Island. Nev could do it easily in 2 days. Nev would then need to peddle his yak at a speed of about 15 km/hr to entice those 1,000lb+ black marlin to hit his trolled live bonito. mackeral or tuna baits. Of course, Nev would be using a Fin-Nor SA 130 Santiago reel, or similar, loaded with 2,000 metres of 200 lb braid. Once connected to a monster black marlin, Nev could expect his yak to be towed at speeds of up to 80 km/hr which would make for some pretty spectacular drone video footage. This is just the sort of fishing challenge Nev needs now.
Where is this???
