Listening to him sing this, I’d certainly run to his lovin’ arms. In the interviews I’ve watched of Bobby and Bill, Bobby came across so personable and approachable. He came across as low-key, with a great sense of humor, appeared quite genuine in those interviews.
I love finding Bobby's voice on cuts I have never heard before. Such a talent who could rock, bebop and serenade with no trouble switching gears. RIP Bobby Hatfield you are missed
In each and every song that Bobby sings, one can tell that he's put all his heart, SOUL and emotions into it !! He was great, and still stirs our hearts !! Cheryl's mom, Cathy
So many songs I never heard, so many that weren’t released that we had a wait for until after we lost him. But he takes any song, any material And makes it sound like a choir of angels. He gives his all to every note beautifully. His singing fills me with warmth, which is what music is supposed to do.
You can hear how deep his voice is on this song. It shows his range is masterful. On Pegasus it was said he could cover half a piano, 22 notes. He was majorly overlooked. I wish there was someway that we could bring his songs back into peoples minds and heart with his music today, even played on radios or shows or concerts. Maybe younger people would learn how a real singer sounds
Thank’s to Richard Perry who rescued a collection of previously unissued work of Bobby’s solo work in 71, including the torrid Stay with me . Only in 2020 Omnivore Recordings is shining a spotlight on the late Hatfield's solo career with a compelling new release in The Richard Perry Sessions
Have just bought this CD and have to say that on hearing "Stay with me baby" I ended up in tears. The yearning and longing in Bobby's voice is so raw!😢
I would love to run to Bobbys Arms and have him hold me for ever, such a gorgeous handsome man with an amazing exquisite voice , l could listen to for ever .I love you Bobby ,singing with the Angels ,l will see you with them and run to your loving arms and hold you . Sadly missed .O my love my darling .Paula XXX .
He was the same man in all his songs , loving ,caring ,passionate, because he was married to his sweet wife till he passed away in 2003 , then she joined him 2010 , at lease they together again , R I P Mr and Mrs Hartfield ❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹🌹
i have often wondered if he took cocaine because of his stage fright or because his wife was dying from lupus. Aside from his recording, he began an annual Bobby Hatfield Golf Tournament with all proceeds going to charities doing R & D on Lupus. he raised millions!❤
This is one of my favorite songs of his! But I've wondered why he keeps dying his hair! He looked great being blond( his natural hair color)! He looks so much like his mom!
I've seen this same picture but with different exposure. It looked dark blond to me (the kind that lightens in the sun). Maybe it's just a marketing thing.
Blond hair can look different in different lightings, and with photography. His blue eyes can look darker too, even brown. He didn't dye his eyes -- it was lighting and photography.
Billy Fury was a pretty good pop star but nothing special. Sorry, but there's really no comparison. He gave each song he sang his absolute all... you can't improve on perfection.
Funny that the cops found no illegal substances or drug paraphernalia in his room. Just Bobby in bed with the remote in his hand. The most notorious trace amount of any substance ever. What a miserable life you must have that that is what you decided to comment. I think your mommy is looking for you.
He died because his heart gave out from blocked arteries and cocaine while touring with Bill. As these things go, it was not a bad way to go. So sad for his wife and family losing him without saying their goodbyes.
@@christownsend-q3s As I said, the most notorious trace amount of any substance ever. With everything that can be said about him, this is what the Internet focuses on.
There was no trace of cocaine nor any other drugs found in the hotel room. The initial autopsy stated he had a 95% arterial blockage. The tox screen done later also indicated a trace of cocaine. It was most likely metabolized over time, as opposed to a recent consumption. If he wouldn't have had the trace amount of cocaine in his system, he would unfortunately also have died a premature death. 95% blockage will do that to you. I'm not sure if his death was actually caused by a so-called widowmaker.
Thanks so much for clearing that up. So many articles say he died from taking cocaine it's not consistent with what we know about this lovely man. One thing is sure, he was a family man and devoted to Linda, at 63 he might have used it for any number of reasons, including needing a little help to go onstage, we may never know.

This is just a masterpiece and nobody ever heard it because they didn’t produce it until after he died. What a shame

Thank you for saying it this way, because it's true and important.
With every song he sings, I fall in love all over again. Since 1963, every time I hear his voice, or watch him on video, I can smile all day.
Who cannot love this incredible young singer
Nur lächeln, wenn man Bobby hört.

Wouldn't that be wonderful!!!!!!
Bobby was a tenor. Not deep.
@@maryschiers1267 He could go down to baritone range.

Not a patch on Billy Fury's Version.
I agree
Bobby puts in more emotion

Poor little fella died all alone in a hotel room with only his cocaine to keep him company!
