Could someone explain to me why in the sources on the left there is the Itunes music application? Does this mean that we can import our music directly from the application? Does this mean that we can also use spotify or not? Because I don't have itunes music. Also, if we import music directly from our files, does that mean we have to download them one by one beforehand? In other words, convert each track from youtube to mp3. Sorry for my questions, I'm just starting out in djing and everything seems complex. Thx in advance :)
first, never use youtube as source because of quality and copyrights. You can use the itunes local library on your computer, not apple music. iTunes is only there for legacy purposes, don't use it in 2024. you can't use streaming from other services than are integrated with RB, spotify is notoriously not one of them. And still, don't rely on streaming services: they can remove any track at any time, and you always need an internet connection in a crowded club with shotty wifi or cell phone signal (because there are 200 cellphones around).
Update: Nevermind! For any noobs like me with this issue, just click the "Display horizontal sub-browser window" in the upper left hand corner of the "collection view" menu thing. For some reason, I seem to have two "collection" view menus open and I can't figure out how to get rid of the second one. I can hover my mouse over the top of the lower menu and scroll it more into view or hide it down below but I don't know how to get rid of it. I see everyone else's view is just one giant "collection" view menu beneath the waveforms and I want my view to look clean like that but I can't seem to find a solution. Could you help?
