I don't have any friends and busses don't come anywhere near my compound but I have a 67 Cadillac hearse and a big Ford ambulance. I could make a sweep down to the nursing home in civilization and pick up a few "viewers". Joseph and Mary send their love. Mary enjoys your show so much she makes me play it for her when I leave or go out to the shop. She just loves watching them over and over with Joseph. I once patched an old Chevy strait six pickup with a horrible rod knock by removing the rod and piston. I put a hose clamp around the crankshaft to block the oil passageway to maintain pressure. It actually ran great on 5 cylinders ! With the rear end gear ratio, I never missed the loss in horsepower. Great vid Kyle. But then I enjoy Shed by the Tracks too !!!
I also love the old larger trucks. Mine is a 53 Dodge 2 ton all stock but for the 2008 Dodge dually bed. I would like to see in a future video how you would fix the back of the cab low down and the rear floor where it ties in. You plug welded chicken truck but said that was not the way it should be done. Keep 'em coming. Best Ray J.

Rare too!! I've only seen 1 or 2 others. My family of 7 came west to Oregon in a 1960 Studebaker Lark and a 1952 Chev 1/2 ton in 1963. Dad had that truck loaded, and I rode with him most of the way. It was a great truck!
Back when I was just getting started in hot rodding. I had the honor of working for Frank Vito. The very first car I got to work on was veto,s starship. ,a 63 Corvette with gull wing door,s . A world of wheels winner back in the 80,s gull wing doors would be tricky.

Back in the 1990's I had an antique single cylinder stationary engine where the big end was shot. The problem was that the crank pin was 20 thou out of round so no amount of shimming would fix the problem. I tried to get the local engine shops to grind the crank but none were interested. In the end I used a flat 6 inch file and a micrometer and over a few evenings I actually filed the crank pin back true. I got it within a thou and finished it with strips of emery paper. With a true crank pin I could adjust the shims properly and the engine still runs very good. I wouldn't advise trying to do a six cylinder but it might just be possible if it is only one damaged rod end.
In the technology museum in Sydney,NSW is a complete chev wood frame for a 1930's Chev . The wood was incredibly complex and an open invite to termites .
The engineering simplicity, works of art these old vehicles were make today's just the junk they actually are. Thank you so much for preserving the past !

If you are interested, you can have have the 36 Sedan. its a shell with engine trans and rear end. I am in Winnipeg. I have about $1500 tied up in it but will not get around to fixing it. When he showed me the pictures I commented on how the seller took all the pictures from a specific angle to hide the fact that it had a 9ft bed. He had no idea and thought he had bought a short bed half ton. He listed it for sale the day it was delivered, he just couldn't handle the awesomeness of the 9ft bed. It came out of Saskatchewan actually.

Hey, that's the same as my 49 1 ton 5 window deluxe cab mine sat in woods for 25 years, it was a lot of work but my daily driver now. The mustang t5 5 speed fits right in with adapter plate, and uses original clutch setup. Can cruise 55 or 60 with original 5.14 gears in the rear end. 58 Chevy 3/4 ton rear springs fit right in to soften ride. I have a good running 216 with a bad rear main seal that I pulled out and not going to use. In northern Minnesota. PS, I Like Your Truck!!

Just make sure you do it before soaking all the bolts with penetrating oil to avoid an epic fire....ask me how I know.
