From 2007-2010 was the most loaded 140 and 147 division since the 80's. Paul Williams, Cotto, Margarito, Hatton, Judah, Tszu, De La Hoya, Mayweather, Gatti, Pacquiao. That's hell to go through.

Yeah man, it was like an up jab with a faint usually throwing right before! Not enough fighters use this punch! I see Kambosos use Paulie’s technique! It’s brilliant on so many levels, it sets up and disrupts all at the same time!
      Good shit Paulie

@@deereal3173 after the up jab followed by the faint...then 2 quick jabs to the head and 1 hard to the body. I used that in sparring and had em confused for 4 rounds.

This is the documentary that made me fall in love with boxing, all those years ago. My grandfather boxed in the army and I was surrounded by fighters as a kid, and I did martial arts too (karate, kick boxing, etc). But seeing this is what really spawned my interest in the sport in my teens. Paulie became my favourite fighter and had been ever since.

Nothing but respect for your career and accomplishments in and out of the ring, Paulie. Never knew you had a documentary until today, rest assured that it was entertaining and insightful. I enjoyed every minute of it. Loving the content on your channel as well. Keep up the great work champ!

Paulie never got the credit he deserves , the way I look at Paulie is like this ,
    (1) he was in a generation of killers and fought them all
    (2) the man was handicapped since day one with his hands meaning he is going in there armed with a pistol against everyone else who is armed with shotguns and rifles. What I mean by this is the man had to rely on boxing iq combined with footwork and angles and a great jab, knowing how bad his hands were he knew he had to be fitter than the the opponent. Hence going in armed with a 38 v a AR 15 (cotto for example) . If anyone has ever boxed they will know what I am trying to day here. Sorry for my bad articulation

Naw perfect example. Clearly understood what you saying. Your right. Mad skills and and a dope fighter. Malignaggi always a legend in my book. Fought the best that was out there at that time in those divisions

Who takes Cotto into the championship rounds during cottos youth and early prime like that? The magic man was too skilled and tough to be put out like that. Dangerous fighter from a intelligence and tactical point of view. Love from Puerto Rico.

@@lennybogartcould you have less of a clue ? He literally stood in the pocket with him the whole fight he didn’t wanna be on the outside because he didn’t have enough room to step back far enough to not be on the end of cotto’s punches so he stood in the pocket and tried smothering him so cotto couldn’t get all the leverage he wanted when he’s letting his hands go . Could you be more of a dork ?

People don't know Paulie fought his whole career with a right hand than never healed...so his jab was crazy. I still study the baby bull Diaz fights...Paulie used so many jab variations it took me hours to watch the fight because I kept pausing it. Def a fighter I studied to improve my jab variations.

I remember watching this in 2006 shortly after the Cotto fight. Ive always been a fan . Ive always respected and loved the skills, and especially respected the bravery getting in there with such damaged hands, and compromised "power" and usually against a larger man. I ALWAYS rooted for Paulie. I cant think of once when I was rooting for the other guy.

Most of paulies fights coming thru he had a screw protruding thru a bone in his knuckle in his right hand from a botched operation which must of been absolute agony at the time he had multiple operations on his hand its remarkable that he had any kind of boxing career let alone become a two time world champion.
