@@dangerfly Not really. In the early parts of the game you should stick to the tutorial. The game gave you no reason to go to the shrines yet.
It's possible to get the Champion's Tunic as soon as you activate the first tower. After being launched from the tower at Lookout Landing; fly towards Hyrule castle. Enter through the spire at the very top of the castle, and drop down inside until you get to the throne room. Light the two torches next to the throne to reveal a chest containing the tunic. It has a +5 Defence, at base value, so it's very ideal to get early on.
You can also jump down into Zelda's Room while you are there and get a 4 defense helmet!
legend, just got it and 2 Royal Guard bows so quickly I imagine they'll reset on a blood moon as well

How are you supposed to get there when you lose stamina before you can?
@@nonguitarplayer you can make some stamina potions or make food that increases total stamina.

@@aceaguilar8360 I know this is a dumb question but you did go through the whole registering thing right? I noticed you have to register, and then talk to him about taking a horse. At first he won’t let you but then he realizes you have horses from the other game

An intresting fact, is that you can use auto build without parts, costing Zonite to make temporary versions of said parts, which break if torn from its original design, but if you find a Homing cart and cannon from gumball machines, you can simply combine, then copy the blueprint and have an auto aim cannon friend for only six zonite without materials, allowing you to spawn an army of them if you have enough zonite.
This is awsome considering you will never really use homing carts since they can be tedious to set up and can be hardly worth the trouble getting both carts and specific turret.
That sounds badass! Gonna have to try this.
THIS is what the beginner's guides need to be telling us. The snow pants were pretty straightforward but the other stuff doesn't stick out. Great tips! The armors as good or better than the 1000 rupee stuff and the pristine weapons and steering wheel, never would've found those on my own. Thanks
To add to the tips, the Master Shield is also available from the beginning; if you go around the back of the castle and enter the jetty where the docks are, there's stairs guarded by malice hands (I recommend throwing a few puffshrooms and running on by). At the top of the stairs there's an area with lit torches and a large unlit brazier; lighting that brazier will reveal the chest with the Master Shield.

You can actually use Recall to send Talus’ rocks back at him
This will cause him to stagger and you can climb on his back for a few swings

Everyone should go for the final ability "autobuild" right away. Lets you spawn any creations for zonaite even without the proper materials in the ground.
I keep trying to find the video guide I saw on that but find others instead. I guess they’ll do, I really need that auto build

I found them after i was completely done with the cold there. Had eaten all my cold prep food too. Lol. The game is a time suck. In a good way. The entire day is gone and I played all day, but didn't get anything done.
@@bewee Same. Had eaten all my food for the cold and I was struggling to find my way back down to the warmer area without a paraglider. Yeah, I can't imagine how many hundreds of hours i'm going to put into this game.

Watching your videos have been super helpful. I realized there's so much about this Zelda I've missed since the start
The biggest hurdle I've struggled with is forgetting it's a different game with different abilities. I completely forget I have ascend and rewind outside of shrines, and I have a strong aversion to the crafting system so I'm not particularly dexterous with ultrahand.
Came here for the creative ideas, gasped at the end when you showed how you could help the guy support Hudson! 11/10 advice! Thanks for making this.

You can find midnas mask in the underground area. Its located in the southern east corner of the map. To get there you have to use the tunnel on Eventide Island. Its a Colosseum with all colors of bokoblin in waves.

Tip: when fighting gloomspawn, use bomb arrows. If you dont want to waste them, then use a spear, preferably one with the ice elemental ability
There’s a goddess statue in lookout landing. That’s the easiest one to access

This game is blowing my mind. How the heck did they come up with this many gameplay mechanics all in one game. How?
BOTW took five years to make and this game took 6. Since a lot of the major building blocks were in place they just kept adding to what they already had. If you account for every feature in this game it’s total development is basically almost 12 years.
steal them all from other games that have done them before and do them half as good
@@Tyrineal I don't remember ever using these abilities in an open world game. Imo the abilities and how they were implemented are beyond anything I've ever played. The possibilities are just too many.

You can completely skip over the lost woods by jumping into the chasm near the korok forest and looking for the lightroot underneath it
Ngl I thought that was the way you HAD to get into it and it didn't occur to me that there was some other way. It was also a complete accident on my part; I was literally just vibing underground, found one of the "elevator towers" you can ascend to the surface from, and suddenly ended up in korok forest 😅

I had actually taken that shortcut route to the ascend shrine, but I completely missed that little bit of rock I could climb so I just headed back…
If you have a breath of the wild save on your switch then it will also transfer over any horses you have when you go and talk to your first stable. I grinded for hours to find a 5 speed horse so I was quite happy about that.

Breath of the Wild players will have an easier time in this game at the start.
Even simply walking around without some playing hours takes up way more time. Atleast thats how it went for me in BotW.
Combinate a explosiv Barrel with your shild is amazing. If an enemy hits you it will explose. All enemys die and you get 0 dmg. So much fun :D

Yeah I feel that. I beat BOTW and now playing it with my 6 yr old son. I know the whole game and never get lost. I’ve been playing totk to prepare to play with him and in so overwhelmed! Got like 12 hours into it and feel like I’ve done nothing. Always getting lost but these guides are big help

@BoomstickGaming this is awesome, even though I’m a little ways in these tips should still really help out once I get out of the fire temple regional phenomena since I have the archaic warm greaves already from the great sky temple and am on the surface area of Hyrule I will have to definitely go after these after, I get out of the Fire Temple and gain Yunobo’s Sage Ability on my first run

Use the goddess statue at Lookout Landing. Much faster than Temple of Time

These video's are unreal! I have been playing the game for about 4-5 hours (mostly on Sky Island) and hadn't thought of trying or doing any of the stuff I have seen so far. My mind is blown! Also, don't judge but this is my FIRST Zelda game 😳..... man do I feel dumb for never playing these games, I now have a back catalogue of Zelda games I need to play after this one lol 😅 Thanks for all the tips/help!

Since you play TotK alredy you should go for Links Awakening, since the cute unique remake Is also on Switch.
If you happen to be the holder of an 3DS device you could play the remakes of Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask that are also my favorites from the old classic Zeldas. (those are available as SNES versions tho, if you have an Nintendo Online + Membership)
The 3DS also holds one of the most unique Zeldas: The Legend of Zelda A Link between Worlds.
The DS games you could also play then. They are all verry unique and fun.
If you happen to be the holder of a WiiU, you can play Wind Waker and Twilight Princess too. (if we are lucky we even get them for Switch too, what would be crazy)
I love all Zelda games and I guess they would bring you alot of fun.
There are even more games next to those I've counted so far.

This game is much different then the rest. It focuses on creativity (like mind craft) and less on actual combat. The other games are good but I’m not sure I’m liking this one so far…to much time spent on these little quest/building farming ect and less on the story and action
In the hyrule castle inner sanctum, you can light 2 torches and reclaim links lost champion tunic.
Also, if you use ascend above the area that you get the winter pants, there’s a korok puzzle that you can easily solve!

I found the back door to the Great Sky Island shrine, but didn't know about the cold resistant buff just used torches as much as I could and still made it to the shrine.
I got it yesterday after about 160 hours on BoTW. At first its was extremely frustrating trying to get to the last shrine and i still keep pressing up to change my ability instead of L 😂. I played it all day today and damn im obsessed, its SO GOOD!

To get to the Ascend shrine, I garbed a ruby and and a stick and fused them together (I had already gotten fuse) and put it on my back. this added warmth so I didn't need the peppers. I didn't even know at the time that 5 peppers combined (in food) made that.
The gods led me to this channel so I can save the hell out of Zelda
pickup zeldas hat while your in hyrule castle. alongside all the weps laying around.
Avoid wasting rupees on the hat, plus you can find a gold rupee in the castle for 300 rupee to buy w.e you want
Without watching the video, I can say that you can get really powerful by raiding the catacombs below Hyrule Castle and after that, launch high into the air and visit the castle itself. After some thorough raiding, you can acquire a nice amount of goodies that makes you OP right off the bat.

I climbed up to the top of hyrule castle and found the shadow bow
You can tell if a horse is easy to tame based on the pattern of the horse. Spotted horses don't need much but have low stats, horses without pattens have better stats but require more to tame.

Without any videos I ended up doing that same path to get to the snow mountain! But I didn’t know how to cook so I kept eating the food to stay alive and dying a lot! lol
I completed all 3 shrines and my question is do I go open the temple or are there more shrines? I don’t have that power to move objects around based on the ultra hand. I also still have 3 lives.
I’ll need to come back for the fairy fountain as I’ve been playing this game the past week and just now beat the final boss so I’ll be trying to finish all shrines and maybe upgrade all armor too

If you're like me, and watching this already depeninto the game and Hestu (our favourite brocoli guy) isn't in the location in the video, head to Lookout Landing, and he in the main hub area near the tower and shop, etc.
Glad I found you all killer no filler. What I would like to know is what kind of fusions change the weapon appearance completely into the fused item or just add the little bit at the end. I’m wondering if talus heart is like meant to be fused with something.
Yep, the talus heart is for fusions! It makes a pretty good hammer and the luminous ones glow so they can be nice for the depths even if it's not a *ton* of light
At the look out landing tower you can glide to hyrule castle where in a gatehouse you find a royal halberd royal shield and soldier bow. Right outside is a lizalfo critical hit it with the solider bow to one shot it then fuse it’s horn to the halberd another one will attack you after you kill it id recommend finding some sort of broadsword to fuse it to. Then there is a pack of 3 moblins which give 24 fuse power 1 flurry rush with the lizalfo/halberd spear thingy kills one repeat that until you kill all of the moblins then you can fuse them to what ever you want
How do you glide that far early on? My stamina always runs out
My man... I stink at making things in vidya gamez. I am one of the few who was REALLY let down by Tears of the Kingdom. I regret buying it, BUT!! I will probably finish it someday. (I just don't like the building mechanics and the sheer scope completely overwhelms me). And these guides are really REALLY going to help me down the line better appreciate and play this game. I'll wait till all it's DLC is released and revisit it then. So, TY from someone who loves Zelda, mostly liked BotW but not so much this one.
My 7 yo daughter is playing behind me and she is 50-50 on fighting or running away scared from even a bokoblin. 😅 my plan was to have her navigate the hidden passage in lookout landing to collect the soldier’s set then upgrade with fairies to get an early 36 defense. Im hoping the tankiness gives her the courage to engage monsters more. Thoughts/Suggestions?
If that was the back door how were you supposed to get to that shrine?
