I use the x-frames by leatt I have had multiple meniscus and ACL surgeries on both knees from years of abuse by dirt bikes and skateboards my X frames are so good I use them all day for work also I do construction Roofing excetera not only for riding I've had them about 8 months now and use them everyday and I've only had to replace One straps on the left one I would definitely definitely recommend these to somebody next time I think I might step up to the C frame braces
I always ride with my boots and knee braces no matter how hot it is or how lazy I'm being. All fun and games until you can't walk for a couple months.
I’m doing it right now , cause I lost my knee braces while moving went to track last week now I can barely walk…. Lol

I advise against the bionics if you care about impact protection. They’re slim, light and comfortable, but the patella guard is fragile and will explode into small pieces. Basically a one-time use knee pad. Mine punched a hole in my thigh the first time I wadded in them
Great information they diff look weaker in the knee protection but give more air flow.
Is this from experience? The knee protection exploded? Just ordered a pair but am questioning the knee cap protection against impacts

I only worry about getting correct fit with out being able to try them on before buying.

Alpinestars straps are not as good as POD. And the extra pads won't stay there for long compared to POD.
