Nice that you put the in memory in the title. Owning these old tractors is as much about the old timers that had them before you did and the history they have as it is the fun in running them.
Watching that plow work brought back memories of the smell of fresh turned soil. I still consider that the sweetest smell on God's green earth. Thanks for making my day a little better.
That 400 doesn’t even know that plow is back there!!! Tractor sounds great !!!! So smooth !!!! That 311 does a nice job !!!! Turned great furrows, covered very well, and broke the soil up very nicely !!! Disking will be a breeze come planting time !!!!
Really doing a great job, 400 not even aware of the load. Being a little long in the tooth I'm a "H"" and "M " guy as this is what Dad owned on the farm. Love your content.
Loved seeing that 400 finally get some playtime. I love your SMTA but the 400 is a close second. I have a 400 narrow front with fast hitch that gets used daily for small jobs that I bought as a teenager. I also have an Oliver 77 narrow front too. These antique tractors make the best small utility tractors. Theres nothing more relaxing that listening to them hum along while raking hay.
Take a fine tractor like your 400. Which, by the way, I vote you keep and put it in the hands of a man Such as yourself who knows what he's doing. And the end result, beautiful job. Another outstanding example of why I need Coulters for my plow. Thank you very much for the video. It was extremely difficult for me to take my eyes off the screen. Thank you very much for your comments in my memorial video For my cousin Scott, your words lifted me up in my time of need. 🙂🙏🙂
Great video, I have a 400 narrow front and just bought a 3-bottom 2pt fast hitch can’t wait to turn some ground under. Very impressed with how well you have the plow set!
I really enjoyed watching you get it done with the old 400 ! I was able to get 1 pass through the big garden before it started raining again and a week later I'm still waiting for it to dry out. If it wasn't for my no till garden I wouldn't have anything planted. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!
I've always enjoyed plowing. That was awesome. It was set right and looked great. Laid out real smooth. Just goes to show you were right about saving money and skipping the burn down. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. Tractor sounds great. See you later.
400 sounds good.Nice job, appalling. You've got to set up real good enjoyed The ride. I was there.I'd be behind you with With my 1655 on my 5 bottom LO.L
We had a 53 Super M with M&W oversized high compression sleeves and pistons that made about 65 hp on the pto dyno at the IHC dealership back in the late 50’s. It pulled a 3-14 IHC hydraulic lift pull type plow like it wasn’t even there. It could pull it in 4th but you really had to hang on. Mostly we plowed with it in 3rd.
Cover boards really help to bury that grass. I always found they never completely shined up like the moldboards. I always found that the coulters made a straighter edge on the furrow and kept it clean for the tractor tire to ride in.
Excellent video Geno :) also in memory of Vern Osborn plus his tractor even plow too and yes 1956 Farmall 400 doing well too ! Also my dad used tell me Geno one year we had special way one farm feild on because flood of because a lot more Winter Season snow, spring rain wash out feild bad like pond ruin hay crop and plus surprises use got excellent crop of Silo corn that was 1993 year! But all work for best Lol!
@@donvoll2580 Don sure was my because over record of Snow also Freezing Rain in 1993 my area was wild Snow was higher then Hydro and Phone cedar posts! Januray to April early May 12 ! My late Dad & Uncle didn't plant everything till July that I had help them and paid out my pocket from part time job working at! They need helping hand and yes so wet we had used tractors in fleet like train does ! One thing was smart had excellent crop of Grains and Straw that kept going for 2 years! Yes shocking weather changes have been!
Neighbor had a 400 gas ! We had a 450 diesel, it started on gas it warmed up the diesel engine and switched it over to diesel it was our loader tractor, live pto ran the dual loader both were abused hard work constantly was maintained for winter time etc.
You sure got your moneys worth on that plow! It does a very nice job. What was you plowing in, looks like maybe 3rd? Scoured up nice, looks like he took care of the plow. 400 is running smooooth.
The front bottom is throwing a different furrow. I can’t see why. Is the front point or shear longer? Sometimes the pivot pin wears differently between bottoms. Or is it cutting too much? The plow looks like it could be made into a 4 bottom with the extended frame.
That 400 was playing with that 3 bottom would of been nice to see that 4 bottom on it we had the exact same set only narrow front front wheel weights an frame weights was still a little light but handled it fine
That ground was turning great. You've got a great forecast ahead, so you should be done putting the seed in by Sat night. That 400 sounds like its good to go until 2056, right? You need to get one of those county side mowers for your overhanging trees and save the old back.
My Grandpa had power steering put on his Super M after his heart attack. It was a welcome change but after some use it would progressively get more and more play in the steering. Eventually, he would have to have it picked up and fixed. Think it was a bushing or bearing..
I can tell it’s a good one it looks good, sounds awesome and Judging by the way the 3 bottom didn’t even make it break a sweat it would handle 4 bottoms in just about any conditions and not breathe hard at all
My father would be a-rollin in his box if he where to see your head lands. Couple of times you dropped it and picked up early. He use to ride me hard on git-r-right next time. Otherwise good job.
I was really hoping to see the 400 pull the 4 bottom plow but for some reason u can't fix the plow so u can hook it up but I will wait until you do boom
How about starting in the middle and dumping towards the middle of the field, which you are doing. Why turn the outside row in 1st when you will eventually get there anyway? And your deer trail cams were great of gimpy. Combine food plots with deer pics. It's all good. Kiskys and Drurys don't know red power!
You say a 400 has 5 more hp than super m I agree the farmall 300 has 2 more hp than a m farmall and has more wait plus ta yet they come pair it to a super H I don't get it boom
Nice that you put the in memory in the title. Owning these old tractors is as much about the old timers that had them before you did and the history they have as it is the fun in running them.
Nice and strong Farmall 400 . And Nice work to See . Thanks for showing and Greetings
Thanks for watching

I'm so happy I bought this tractor
That was my thought as well, that 400 handles the load well and sounds great. 👍

Yeah and they are powerful
Great new score, I’m always amazed at your level of knowledge on these Farmall tractors and every detail about their care.
I love plowing it's great. Enjoyed your video Gino working perfect. Have a good day.
There is just something so mesmerizing about watching the dirt just roll off the mold boards. Nothing like the smell of fresh plowed dirt either.
It smelled right ✅️
Nice job with the tractor! Vern would be proud!
I was very fortunate enough to use my uncle's 450 in the field for many years and I absolutely loved it.
Beautiful furrows! The 400 rocks!
Looks good ! The 3 bottom is set up spot on 🇺🇸

Amen brother 🙏
That tractor and 3 bottom plow combination does a really nice job!!
It definitely did not overwork the tracker that's for sure
Nice tractor. Pulls that 3 bottom like it’s not even behind there.
Nice video, on our farm we had a 300 and a 400. We did a lot of work with those two.
I'm really impressed with it
That 3 bottom does a very nice job I sure do enjoy your channel
Appreciate it
You need to find a trash board for bottom #2.
Those 400's were quite the tractor back in the day.
I've got about five spare plows with trash boards on them
That 400 sure runs nicely!!
It's shocking
Love watching that older equipment work!!!
Looks good, sounds good. Easy money for the 400. Red Power
For sure
Excellent video 👍 you dont have a bad tractor at all in your fleet 🤔 but that 400 is right up there at the top of the leaderboard 🤔💪💪🔥Red Power
After working it in the field, I totally agree
Fresh plowed Earth is always the best smell..........
Great video, I have a 400 narrow front and just bought a 3-bottom 2pt fast hitch can’t wait to turn some ground under. Very impressed with how well you have the plow set!
The 400s and 450s are my favorite of the m-560 tractors
Doing a great job! I think I would add this tractor to the never leave the farm list! Lol
It just made the list lol

I'm at a property right now, and it's wet as water
Excellent looking ground even better looking traactors
That 400 is very familiar with that plow. Sounds good like it should 👍🏽.

Then I'd pull out the 826 lol
Multifloral rose is mother nature's barbed wire and it spreads like wild fire. Love that 400!
Do you have all your crops planted this Spring yet? Looking forward to your harvesting vids this fall.
With the market being down i'm hoping to plant less and less... Losing money has never been a favourite activity of mine
Nice looking 400!
Thanks
She plays with three! No stress there.👍
Definitely no stress

FF that 400 sure sounds good!
Those 400,s were Beasts. That 3 bottom is not a match for that tractor. Love the 400.
I can't believe I almost didn't own this tractor
Nice.❤ I'd have been tempted to brush hog the golden rods, but look at that friable soil. It hardly needs discking at all.
I pretty much buried the golden rod...yea, gonna disc nicely
That ole girl is covering some ground😎
It's a lot better tractor than I even thought
Farming done right.. Well done enjoyed the video.
Your videos are so good, sometimes I think I'm smelling that fresh turned dirt.
I was going to mention that in the video
Very good information sharing my friend!
That's a nice rig.
Hell, that tractor would pull 5 of them bottoms in that dirt!
I wouldn't doubt that
SeaFoam is awesome!
Definitely
Cover boards really help to bury that grass. I always found they never completely shined up like the moldboards. I always found that the coulters made a straighter edge on the furrow and kept it clean for the tractor tire to ride in.
True
Excellent job plowing it looked straight as an arrow
Thanks

Sounds like a very nice machine
That is a nice three bottom plow I need to get one for my super m

Yea he did me right
Another great video!
Thanks
More daown nice
Killer job plowing! How long before the Robins found the field?
Immediately lol

I'm not sure where you stopped watching... But toward the end of the video I make the adjustment
The tractor sounds real good. When you do a field like that, do you go back and plow the ends of the field where you turn around?
Yes
That 400 was playing with that 3 bottom would of been nice to see that 4 bottom on it we had the exact same set only narrow front front wheel weights an frame weights was still a little light but handled it fine
That plow is a pretty good pair for that 400.
Man that plowed nice. Honestly 4 might have been a tough pull, but it would have been cool to see.
It's gonna happen

Yeah we are getting nice and dry
Really looks like a good pair and it's turning the soil nicely
I like the tractor even more now
Well done grasshopper, you learn instructions well. 😁 I have much more to teach you.
I got you into farming!

The steering's not too terribly difficult to fix
Hey my farming friend!! I hope all is well your way!
Good seein ya 👍
that tractor sounds so good
We had a farmer in the Princeton Tex cotton community that had 2 of thoes 400's. He painted his every 3 or 4 years.
I would guess with the hot texas sun you would need to
What grease do you use?
Lithium
Just like butter !
Good ol 400 just motors right along. It says 3 bottom who? 😂
I'm really impressed with it
Boom! I bet Vern was smiling down on this day
🙌
Looks like a knife through butter!
Definitely

You know it, BRIM Specialist! 🤣
I’ve been waiting all year for this. When is it gonna be on the chisel?
Eventual.
