Bangladesh's foreign minister has warned outside powers against meddling in the country's upcoming elections.
The opposition has threatened to boycott the polls unless prime minister Sheikh Hasina gives way to a caretaker government.
The US has been trying to mediate between the ruling party and the opposition. Can India help settle this spat between its two major partners?

I am from Bangladesh. We Bangladesh don't need any foreign advice. Our voting system was always right. BNP & jamaat will never accept any defeat that is the problem. They don't have Trust on Bangladeshi people. They think that USA will put them in power.
Bangladesh will never allow any undemocratic and unconstitutional caretaker government. Our last caretaker government extended power more than 2 years with US support.

But people didnt give a shit because Bangladesh was developing quite fast despite that and had political stability after decades which is very important for a nation to grow economically. Im a neutral person politically but i can atleast say that there is no other competent political party here other than Awami League . BNP and Jamat are far worse than Awami League, not only they are extremist also they tried to assassinate opposition party’s leader several times when they were in the power. Again im not taking Awami League’s side but its choosing like lesser evil. Even though the democracy is kinda dead here, fixing this issue would be more costly than letting it be the way it is.

Sheikh Hasina's entire life was a sad tragedy, her parents were murdered and the murderers got away and sought refuge in Canada. You missed the most important bit of this issue. Why is America interested in Bangladesh's election? What dp they stand to gain if the opposition comes to power? Is it just to create chaos or to keep India in check? What are their motivations? This was an important bit that you have not covered.
It's very clear. They want to create a democratic, peaceful and business-friendly Indo-Pacific region. Authoritarian, millitary-ruled and dictator governments like BJP, Awami League, Mianmar Military Govt. etc are not only a hindrance to this region but also a threat to the democracy in the rest of the world. That's why USA wants to hold a free and fair election in Bangladesh and that's really a headache for India.
I think its to flank india. They may also want a US army base in Bangladesh. They want something that's for sure.

Let me tell you about something which is not included in this report
Most of the election in Bangladesh, so far happened under an interim government
But when Sheikh Haseena came to power in 2009, they changed the constitution and held election 2014 and 2018 while they’re still in power.
In 2014 there were no vote in 153/300 seats were ruling party were elected as a member of parliament without any single vote. And other remaining seats were distributed among themselves.
In 2018, they arrested almost all of the leaders and activist during election time, and the vote happened without any competition where most of the ballot box were filled by ruling party activities before night
This time all of the opposition top leaders are under arrest right now and 40 million opposition activities has arrest warrant. Hundreds of thousands are now in jail.
That’s how the government is trying to play a staged election this time also

The best course of action for india is to side with the will of bangladesh people and help them elect a govt via free and fare election. Sheikh Hasina's past 14 years of development and corruption have not been witnessed by any other government in the history of Bangladesh, so her alternative BNP failed to make it to the 2014 and 2018 elections due to their leadership problems. This time also it seems that they will not go to the polls because of their wrong political decisions. But neither Awami League nor BNP is right, Bangladesh needs a third political party to steer it in the right direction.

India has always been interfering in Bangladesh politics for long and giving all kind of support to the ruling party in rigging the national election. Almost every people n Bangladesh wanted to live in peace with India and maintain friendly relation. However, India wants only the current ruling in power. America wants the religious right wing in power so they can use them as a pawn and also keep a hyper-capitalistic society since they will oppose socialist and communist ideals.
