      Don't dupe yourself. Mainstream media in the US reports what it knows is of interest to the US public. The US is a very insular country. The US public has no interest in and little knowledge of the rest of the world. This is because the US itself, and therefore, it's education system, has no interest in the rest of the world. If you were educated in the US, you will know that in school, US children learn very little about the world outside of the US. As a result, US media has no interest in reporting on matters pertaining exclusively, to the rest of the world. You really don't need guts to publish news which no one is interested in because it will not upset anyone.

      Too little too late and completely insufficient, it goes back to approx 30 years ago when western countries reached a point where it was too expensive to manufacture locally and at the same time maintain/improve their standard of living so they transferred their means of production to China due to the cheap labor costs, within ~20 years western countries lost their ability to produce while Chinese companies learned to produce better products, to the point they became the de-facto number 1 producer in the world and they also possess the know-how to be self-reliant; The EU is even more pathetic because they completely relied on the US for protection, in the end, wars are won by means of production and the only country in the world that has the ability to win against China is the US.

      If Europe wanted colonies they wouldn't have given all those countries independence in the 1960s. The fact is, almost every single colony *cost* the motherland more than it gained - in terms of the amount of investment spent on building infrastructure, providing healthcare and education to the natives, and of course the military cost.
      Of all the colonies in the British Empire for example, the only two that actually made a net profit for Britain were India and South Africa: once they were independent, Britain had no will to keep spending billions of pounds trying to manage other random parts of Africa and the Middle East.
      Italy likewise: every single one of its colonies (Libya, Somalia, Eritrea and Ethiopia) was a net drain on the central Italian treasury, each and every year of the empire's existence (1880s-1940s).
      Europe became more prosperous when they no longer had the burden of trying to run colonies in undeveloped parts of the world.

    • @koolarsh2k6
      @koolarsh2k6 3 ปีที่แล้ว +42

      @@AdmiralBonetoPick What a twisted account of actual history. Yeah Europe became prosperous after it industrialized itself in late 19th and early 20th century and threw everyone of its colonies under the bus and didnt let them industrialize. After giving independence promoted unregulated capitalism all over the world, stole oil at massive scale got reparations from colonized countries and having the most capital to invest through looting all the countries not shit it became prosperous. Also, all of Europe stopped fighting each other after World War 2 and that's another big reason it became prosperous.

    • @SpectatorAlius
      @SpectatorAlius 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @@koolarsh2k6 Your account is pretty twisted, too. "unregulated capitalism" required no support from Europe to become so dominant and destructive to the undeveloped world. Rather, it got all the support it needed from the newly independent colonies which were left with no other development alternatives.
      Nor can you blame this on their former colonial masters, no matter how pleasing that conclusion is to you. The blame lies on the new leaders of the newly independent countries, many of whom turned out crueler dictators to their people than the former colonial masters were.

      Only financial trap in the world is in Middle and S American countries. African countries' economy has been growing at fastest rate in their history. China's cooperation is one of major reasons. China is building highways, railways, power plants in African. All of those projects are African people need for their economic, social development. If you count on infrastructure projects to make money, you are totally wrong. Most infrastructure projects cannot generate enough revenue directly. but they are needed for economic growth. Western countries had ruled Africa for hundreds of years, what western countries had left for them? other than poverty, western countries took all good things away from them, including human beings.

    In the 4th century AD, wars with the neighbouring Kingdom of Funan in Cambodia original sanskirit name CAMPUCHA and the acquisition of Funanese territory led to the infusion of Indian culture into Cham society. Sanskrit was adopted as a scholarly language, and Hinduism, especially Shaivism, became the state religion. From the 10th century AD onwards Champa came to serve as an important link in the spice trade. The kingdom was known variously as nagara Campa (Sanskrit: नगरः चम्पः so India needs to take this up with international court of justice and get name returned back to its original name as ''CHAMPA SEA'' and not South China Sea as been distorted and forCe fully claimed by China, JAI hind shanti Aum 🕉🙏.

    The CCP promotes their loans by pointing out that the loan does not require any changes in laws or behavior, unlike the loans from Western countries and organisations.
    The EU loans will require fair labor practices and thus require adherence to certain laws or changes in behavior.
    The EU will have to stress how projects will be able to use local labor and suppliers and will not be at risk of losing a naval port or airport.

      :kiab dies bit require any changes in laws or behavior" -- but that is a very deceptive lure. The reason China offers it is because from the very start, their plan is to wait for the country to default and then seize assets. National assets!

    FULL SUPPORT TO EU ❤ from India 🇮🇳 but they are waking up 8 years late. Currently China has the lead but it can be challenged n Nations opposing China have to do more on war footing to counter their BRI. On the other hand US India n Japan too must counter China n deliver in max nations.

    EU did a good job waiting for what really happens with Chinese BRI as various Chinese banks are struggling for this project to provide loans, EU is slowly getting a better understanding of what not to do. Rather than saying it's late maybe they just hit the target on perfect time 🤔

    West has been very slow to realize/accept/react to/understand China's nefarious designs which have been so clear for some twenty years. It became stark when china drew the seven (or was it nine) dashed lines on the South China Sea claiming international waters as its own private pond. China also claimed the territorial waters of its smaller neighbors. At this time China is the worst expansionist country followed by Russia.

    Democracies by nature are slow. There are checks and balances of everything. Every plan / decision has critics and opposition to it, which slows the process. Autocracies on the other hand do not have opposition, so they can be focused on a single goal or objective. That goal can take your country to great heights or great falls. In any case you will reach there faster. So, it's pointless for democracies to compete with China.

    This is ridiculous.
    Rich nation's wanting to expand should fund hundred percent to their neighbouring countries to pay off to China with a clause not to deal with China in Trade in near future, and complete their projects while diverting the route with the neighbouring countries only.
    With so much money coming back and no trade to look at China and it's currency will devalue by itself and even Russia will suffer so will Iran in signing long term Trade compelling them to withdraw too.
    Handful countries like Pak and small African countries will surely suffer but in the largest interest all Trade with China should be blocked not should their people be allowed to any country for higher education, business, or all and any means of trade.
    Block all investment abroad as a compensation for the invention and spreading the pandamic.
    Have these powerful nation's the power to do this or that all have sold their souls and have no ethics and love in life for the safety and security of their citizens.
    Wake up world 🙏
