Nice to know that welded tang knives work as intended....

You should have bought the Survivor HK 56142 Bayonet. It's much better, cheaper, and the blade is 6mm thick!! From what I heard, it actually does fit nicely on a lot of rifles even a few shotguns as well. I have it and I absolutely love it, I even have my Gerber MP600 military issue in the pouch along with a black Allen key to take it apart if I need to.

Thanks! I have never seen that bayonet but I may take a look at it. The Szco is a really cheap knife and I did not expect it to fit when I got it....

If you google the Survivor HK 56142 you'll see the reviews on Amazon with a few people that put pics of their Bayonet mounted on their AR. I'm glad I bought mine, it's a bit heavy but it's sturdy and sharp and beautiful to just look at. I got mine razor sharp but it came fairly sharp but I wanted it to be sharper. The blade is very thick, which I like. I haven't seen any bad reviews or pictures of it ever breaking. I take this knife with me when it rains or snows, but on dry days I take my Kabar. So yes, aside from my Kabar, there is no other knife I would rather take with me except my M9. It's a great knife and cheaper than the SZCO M9. I hear too many people complain that the SZCO version isn't compatible with their rifle, but the Survivor M9 fits a lot of AR's even Mossberg shotguns.

Thanks for the review, it helps with the buying descision! Really shame that wire cutter and bayonet capabilities doesn't work at all. Thanks a lot for that, I'll probably just pay more to buy an american made one

You would definitely get more flexibility with a REAL M9 knife, but this was a budget experiment. This one definitely has its place but so does a real M9. Thanks for watching

Will the "China" lettering come off?

You may be able to sand it off but it appears to be laser etched on there.
