How many of the sex workers out on Aurora are actually victims? Has anyone done any actual research on this? My understanding is that nobody from the city is out there talking to any of them, so seems to me that the city wouldn't really know. The term "sex work" has become synonymous with trafficking, but how many of them actually are? It's become romanticized to assume that all of them need help. If that's the case, then why isn't the city out there helping them? They've failed with the loitering ordinances and they failed without them. One thing we haven't tried is setting-up a legal zone. Hell, nothing else works, why not try that.
