    I have no doubt the hormonal shift was a HUGE part of why I struggled in my job that I eventually left due to debilitating mask wearing at my job all day long. It's been a blessing on many levels!

      I let it get to the point, so bad, I was fired. A blessing on some levels, a tremendous amount of additional stress on others. We need to solve this with more menopause centers and options - time off - for the next generation of professional women who will go through this.

    I've had literally ALL symptoms that you discussed, right down to the fibroid tumors and crazy bleeding. I've been perimenopausal for several years probably and did not even know it. Had a hysterectomy 1.5 yrs ago due to fibroids, profuse bleeding, and severe anemia. And then my hormones spiraled into terrible emotional changes and mood dysregulation. Thank you for your video content! I think others who are struggling will be helped very much by your advice!

    I had all that, extreme heavy bleeding for 10 years! I was anemic n on iron tablets. I later almost collapsed with blood loss. So I changed my doctor who got me expert treatment. Ended up with fibroid size of an orange removed and a womb scrape. T coil fitted. Best thing I ever did! If you're not wanting anymore children, I highly recommend this. No periods anymore, moods more stable.

    Thanks for this. I suffered a number of issues, some painful, but l never got any proper treatment or help from *any* doctor l went to. But here in this area it is not unusual to remain untreated if you are not in the right income or job. I am now post-menopausal at 61, however, I have suffered from an incredibly painful bladder. EVERY single day it feels like there is a little sharp knife cutting inside my bladder & tract. It can be aching even when l am not urinating! Now of course covid is used as an even better excuse for doctors to do nothing, no matter my income! I am angey & fed up, this started in *spring of 2018* !!!😡 3 1/2 years of daily pain, all day long.🇨🇦

      Hi Vikki
      If you're passing clots every month it is wise to get this checked out by your doctor and prolonged periods can cause anaemia which may need treating. Your doctor can test your iron levels just in case you need an iron tonic.

I'm already feeling anxious about how I'm going to cope with going back to work. I will have to either wear layers or wear a light dress with a very warm cardigan made from wool.

    It's not fair. Why are we cursed for having menopause. Why don't men go thru this menopause? Us females stop giving birth at a certain age . Why can't men stop having sperm/semen? I feel less than a woman. I'm grateful for these videos. Men don't know what us females go thru.

      @@ap9686 unfortunately no one could help. I was offered vaginal treatment but after developing serious pains and infection from mesh implant 9 years age, i lost my trust in doctors and refused it. I have aged before time and could not work out what to do. I am better now and try to keep positive. But what I have learnt is that menopause or period pains can be very difficult to deal with as I have been back and forth to hospitals but not able to find a suitable solution. I think from the age of 20 all women should seriously consider their health and prepare themselves for coming years. Because sometimes busy life does the damage. For me it started at 35. One day I had really heavy bleeding, lots of clots, and big, contacted doctor, because I wasn't feeling dizzy, I was told it was nothing. I did go see my ob/gyn did a uterus biopsy, painful, then final test was for menopause, and yep, that was it, I knew it. I never got another period. Broke my heart as I wanted to still have another child, even though I have 4 great children already. Anyway, that was over 21 years ago. No reason for the sudden stop, just bam, you're done.

    The problem is though is that all doctors know how to do is offer an SSRI or SNRI, HRT or Birth Control. None of which I can have. I stopped my SSRI 5 years ago and have been in PAWS ever since (post acute withdrawal syndrome) (which, go figure, most doctors don't recognize as a thing to begin with..) Now a couple weeks ago my doc told me that I'm in early perimenopause (I'm 35) which the peri symptoms are so similar to the PAWS symptoms so its impossible to tell which is which. I suffer from daily tension headaches for 5 years, bouts of anxiety/panic, insomnia, chronic muscle tension in my neck, shoulders, back and hips, painful lumpy breasts a couple weeks before my period (my doc said she believes i have fibrocystic breasts) now I've started getting a racing heart randomly in the mornings as soon as I stand up, throughout the day here and there, and some evenings too. I am exhausted and I'm only 35. I will never go on another SSRI or SNRI if you literally paid me. And birth control is too risky for me as I'm 35 and smoke. (Which I'm planning on quitting in the new year) So I don't know what to do about all of this. I'm a single mom, no family (my mom just suddenly passed recently and I have no siblings or other relatives at all), no car and I homeschool. I feel like giving up but I can't because of my child.
    I'm just ranting and letting a little steam out through my thumbs. If anyone has any advice at all I'm open to hear it and appreciate it as well. Xo

    Menopause sucks!!! Dealing with the night sweats (only it's not just at night time when I'm in bed - i have these through the day. Usually when I'm out in public places a sudden hot rush will start at my midriff rising to my head where I'm burning hot and sweat running down my face and neck ruining my hair cos its drenched with sweat). Don't get me started on the mood swings I'm experiencing. If I'm not in floods of tears (over the silliest things) I'm 0 to 100 with rage and anger very embarrassing and draining having to apologize for my outbursts of sudden crying or anger and aggressive behavior . I'm not having heavy periods for days on end, at random times throughout the month (after having the merina iud inserted) so that's one less thing to worry about. I have been going through menopause the last few years now but will be glad when it's done and I'm not the moody temperamental monster I've turned into. Please tell me there's light at the end of this nightmare. Ladies any advice or tips on what you found helpful with the symptoms of menopause would be appreciated. TIA

      If you are in the UK or Ireland you could try the sage tablets, Menoforce, as these are specifically for flushes and sweats and a high magnesium supplement which is good for mood. You may also benefit from some acupuncture as this can help to balance the hormones and calm the nervous system.

And regarding caffeine it can actually cause anxiety in some people. Am kinda sensitive to caffeine , I noticed when I would have to much coffee I will get anxious! Caffeine makes anxiety worse. And of course our thoughts it's very important to pay close attention to what thoughts we entertain. Praying/ talking to Jesus and hearing what He has to say to us is a blessing . Yes, prolonged periods are quite common as you approach the menopause, however, they are not good for you and could cause anaemia. It is wise to get this checked out by your doctor as they can test your iron levels and also make sure that other issues such as fibroids, polyps or a prolapse are not causing the bleeding.

      Hi Miss Kurdapya
      Although prolonged periods are common on the approach to the menopause, they are not good for you and may cause anaemia. This in turn may cause fatigue, dizziness, low mood/anxiety so it is wise to get your iron levels tested by your doctor just in case you need some medication.
      Do also mention the blood clots, although these are common too we do advice that you let your doctor know.

A lady on a video I watched said to take 2 full tbsp of organic black strap molasses. I was so desperate I went right out and got some. I had been bleeding for a month straight. I took 2 tbsps as soon as I got home and just like the woman said, it was gone by the next day. I shared this with a close friend and it lightened her flow considerably. It stopped with in a couple more days. I hope this will alsohelp some of you out there.

      Hi Vivian
      The average age for the menopause to start is 45-55 so you may be one in the later group! However, if you're worried at all please do speak to your doctor.

      If this has got worse for your wife and you can't contact your doctor, then it is best to go to A&E as she should be seen there.

      @AvogelCoUk  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Bonisha
      It is best to go back and see your doctor about this as there could be a number of reasons such as thyroid deterioration, low vitamin B12, Diabetes or even stress. Your doctor can do a proper examination to determine what is happening with you.

      YES, Thyroid Can and also cause premature menopause ok,,,Just go out for natural Cure now okay before it is too late for you,,Use AGBARA HERBAL DEEP ROOT CLEANSER or The Agbara herbal powder mix with Lime this will cure this problem very fast,,,,Early menopause usually refers to onset before age 45. Premature menopause or premature ovarian insufficiency occurs before age 40. Menopause occurs when your ovaries stop producing eggs, resulting in low estrogen levels. Estrogen is the hormone that controls the reproductive cycle.

      Hi Garmina
      Glad to be of help.
      Muscle pain can often be due to low magnesium so you ,ay find a magnesium supplement, approx 200mg twice a day. Also Google 'magnesium rich foods' and try to have a good combination every day.

    Hi, I m 47yrs old woman ,had non stop bleeding a year ago and Doc did ablation and my periods was normal again cyclus 28-30days, 6-7 days period each cycle. Now a year later i m bleeding non stop again. Is this again a perimenopause symptom?

    • @AvogelCoUk
      @AvogelCoUk  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Suzan
      It could be that your hormones are starting to change again but it is wise to check with your doctor first. Prolonged bleeding is really not good for you and can cause anaemia. Your doctor may be able to give you something to stop the bleeding and then check to see why this is happening again.

    For me not eating at the right time, meaning at the onset of hunger. I will get a headache. So I can’t get hungry and wait to eat, I have to eat something right away, else I will feel like I am dying. Happens at least once’s a month at around my cycle.

      Hi M D
      Blood sugar control can often become much more erratic in the menopause so this is quite common. I found if I waited too long I got really irritable and angry! :)

    I'm finding I'm wearing a tenor pad daily, losing urine near my period especially, doctors are no help.. Had tests seemed fine. What's causing this please help?

    • @AvogelCoUk
      @AvogelCoUk  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Rachel
      As we age and go through the menopause, the muscles that hold up the bladder can weaken and this can cause leaking. Also, the bladder valve itself can be affected by low oestrogen which can stop it working properly leading to leaking too.
      Dehydration can also be a factor; if you don't drink enough your urine can become really acidic and this will irritate the bladder making you need to go more often.
      Specific exercises such as Pilates can often help so it may be work contacting a Pilates instructor in your area to see if you can get some lessons.

    Hi I am a post menopausal 58yrs old was put on ovestin vaginal cream 2yrs ago I wasnt happy to go on it but my gp insisted I did so for vaginal atrophy and bladder atrophy all was fine until 2 mnths ago I started spotting weed eastrogen cream out during the night pink discharge a few days later went straight to gp explained what I did treated me for thrush as she examined me said I had thrush although I had no symptoms she sent me for a vaginal ultrasound which said my womb had thickened to 10mm which can happen taking eastrogen without progesterone so was sent for a biopsy had no anesthetic told to take a paracetamol and it would feel like a period cramp it felt like being flayed alive ! The gyne failed the biopsy so now I have to wait months for a hysteroscopy and another biopsy as there is a huge waiting list in my area I have started spotting again last week as I weed out the cream twice during both nights unintentionally just like before so think this has caused the spotting again and terrified which escalates my stress levels probably making this situation a lot worse can a few days without eastrogen cream mess up my hormones? As this 2nd time is exactly same situation as the first thank you .

      Hi Leea
      I'm sorry to hear that you are in this situation and I know we get many women in similar circumstances having to wait ages to be seen! Unfortunatley, I don't know if stopping the cream would be an issue for you, I am sure your pharmacist would have enough information on the brand that you are using and be able to tell you the best way forward
      I do hope your next experience will be more comfortable for you
