- The UK is home to many theme parks from North to South, from the likes of Alton Towers, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, Legoland Windsor, Paultons Park, Flamingo Land and more! Of course those aren't the only theme parks in the UK, and out of all of those and others, i'm here to rank my 5 favourite theme parks within the country!
(To those who may wonder where Oakwood is, i only visited as a kid and therefore didnt get to experience Megafobia or Speed.)

Thorpe is solid second, I like how its on an island surrounded by water. Although not many new rides, I think it has the best lineup of rides in the country.
Best theme park in the UK has got to be Towers. Its like a fairy tail with the gardens and theres some magic to the place. It also has the best ride in the UK imo, The smiler 😀.

Towers feels like a ‘THEME’ park while Thorpe Park feels more like an amusement park. Towers is just Magical though the way that every section of the park is hidden in the forest makes each place feel like a whole new world

5th - Chessington - I like the park.
4th - Alton Towers - We didnt do very much there as i wasnt keen on rides when we went.
3rd - THORPE PARK - I really enjoy it.
2nd - Paultons Park - Best park in the UK.
1st - Disneyland Paris - WOW. Beautiful & magical park.

Cool list, only one I’d maybe add is Drayton as an honourable mention. Adventure cove this year was awesome and I think it’s going to be a park to watch in future!
For sure! I had an honourable mention part recorded but decided to cut it due to it being almost as long as the top 5 itself 😭😂

I never live in the UK. But I can rank my TOP 5 British Theme Parks:
1. Alton Towers. (I never been there, but I do heard about it.)
2. Thorpe Park. (Same with number 1, but it does has a lot of great theming.)
3. Blackpool Pleasure Beach. (Same with numbers 1&2. But I like the waves next to the boardwalk.)
4. Chessington Worlds of Adventures. (Same with numbers 12&3. But it has a nice zoo.)
& 5. Legoland Windsor. (Same with the 123&4, but I do like how the land is themed with Legos.)

Paultons park is so underrated man it’s such a good park
I haven't been to many so my UK top 5:
5: Butlins Skegness: Hardly even remember it as I was young when I went.
4: Lightwater Valley, before the lightwater valley death, it had Ultimate, Raptor attack, Eagles Claw, Black pearl, Apollo, so a decent selection.
3: Ocean Beach Pleasure Park in South Shields, I was on a trip and decided to have a pop in, it had a decent selection such as: Crash Test, Break Dance, Ice jet, Spring break (Claw) And a few more.
2: Flamingo land. Been A few times and I have always enjoyed it, amazing rides such as Kumali, Mumbo Jumbo and the best of all, Hero. It was a joke don't beat me up, the best in my opinion is Velocity.
1. Alton Towers. I have been twice and its probably one of my favourite places on earth, the rides are amazing and there is just a magical atmosphere (The Alton Towers Magic).
Im trying to get to more theme parks as I really wanna do blackpool and thorpe mainly.
Dang,collosuss is a really underrated ride every time ive been on it it seemed to be fairly smooth and i thought it was one of the best at the park (swarm and stealth will always be high up on my list)

Smiler is just… intense, just because it can, all the males in my family loved it. I went last year.

Blackpool pleasure beach is great. I love Icon and avalanche is a good ride. I hope to ride revolution and other coasters next time.

My favourite in the uk is blackpool pleasure beach because well... that’s the only uk theme park I’ve been too.

4. Universal (haven’t been since 2017 but will be much higher after riding velocicoaster lol)

For me (after riding sik at flamingo land) 5. Chessington, 4. Flamingo land, 3. Blackpool (mainly icon), 2. Thorpe Park, 1. Towers
I TOTALLY AGREE! Although it may not beat Disney land or EPCOT Alton Towers is definitely my favourite theme park

having not been to paulton's park or chessington, i can't really compare them to anything else, but of the parks i've been to, my ranking would be something like:
1) Thorpe Park
2) Alton Towers
3) Blackpool
4) Drayton Manor
Controversial, yes, but I did enjoy Thorpe more since it felt more thrill-oriented than Alton, even though Alton also has some great thrill rides. I love Drayton, it's my home park and from what's been going on in the past few months, I'd say it has a bright future, but I can't really put it above Blackpool for obvious reasons lol

Nothing to do with the ride selection as I think Thorpe and Towers are pretty even but I prefer Towers because of the overall feel and beauty of the park.
One of my biggest flexes is that I live 20 minutes away from paultons 😎
When I saw the blurred pic I straight away knew it was alton towers
5) Flamingo Land
4) Pleasure Beach (good but didn’t feel very safe on some of the rides)
3) Drayton Manor (very biased lots of good childhood memories)
2) Thorpe Park (very good but all the coasters are basically towers rides but slightly worse except stealth)
1) Alton Towers
This is so true like colossus and saw = off brand smiler and nemesis inferno = worse nemesis
Disagree on the order of the top 2. I go purely for the rides and because Towers is so spread out you can't just nip from one area to another to avoid queues so you basically make a plan and stick to it regardless of the queues so if you plan wrong you might not even hit all the rides in a day vs the same time at Thorpe park and I can hit all the main rides 2-3 times.
Personally I put alton towers second and Blackpool pleasure beach first because I have been on more rides at blackpool than alton towers I haven't done Smiler, Rita and Oblivion yet so heres my list!
1. Blackpool Pleasure beach
2. Alton Towers
3. Drayton Manor
and uh thats all the theme parks I've been to..... thats because im 9. I've ridden nemesis. Soon to ride the pepsi max big one on in late June or somewhere between June 29th and July 10th this year in 2022.
I also love grand national personally I dont think its rough I can stand Big Dipper and Grand National such a classic theme park from 1896. I love your videon Digitaldan and your just in my top 3 theme park youtubers heres my theme park youtubers list

I’ve only been to Blackpool and M&D’s, let me tell you Blackpool beats it by far 😂 Desperate to go to Alton Towers and Thorpe Park though, and I might be going to Flamingo Land in October!

Yes , Thorpe is no.1!
Alton towers last year wasnt great. I went on a not-so busy day, so easily covered all the bigger rides. VERY disappointed how they have let the rides get so rough. Smiler used to be smooth and fun, Air was one of my favourites. Signed a grumpy old man who’s no longer cool.
I’m off back to Wales this year for second Velocity ride along with their new solo hanging coaster.
i like pleasure beach, drayton, alton because that’s the only ones i’ve been to… 😌

I think we’re gonna see Drayton Manor get higher in rankings over the next few years, looks like there’s a lot to come over the next few years from the park!
There’s a lot coming for families, they’re gradually getting rid of their thrill rides so it will probs never reach this top 5. London resort will probs be the best (if it opens) and Paultons Park has a bright future as they’re potentially gonna be adding more thrill rides
@@markusfreestyle7837 It’s a real shame about the family direction, i’m hoping that they keep an area of thrill, but considering we are losing apocalypse next year, it’s just gonna be Maelstrom, Air Race and Shockwave in the thrill line up, although with markings for a potential new coaster underway i’d love to see a family thrill spinning coaster or something like that

Only uk parks I’ve been to is Alton towers, Thorpe park, Chessington and Paultons (when I was like 6 😂😂) but would love to visit Drayton manor or Blackpool!!

You need to go to Paultons park more and you will realise it’s overtaken chessington over the years.
Cannot give my opinion, my bias is too strong for Alton towers as it is my home park, technically Drayton manor is closer but towers has a place in my heart. Also my hyperfixations won't leave it alone

I think Thorpe in 10 years if they invest in 2 new coasters and clean the whole park up a bit (like get rid of angry birds Land for example) then they will definitely be number 1

Alton Towers has Smiler and Oblivion which are the two best rides in the UK in my opinion.

Thorpe is far superior, it has better food and less walking, plus did you not see the frozen cocktail menu at Thorpe that alone makes it the best theme park in the UK by far.

Have you been to Efteling in the Netherlands? That is a top theme park IMO 100% better then Disneyland Paris, also I agree with your list 👍

for alton's it's not really feeling like a theme park in the gardens but apart from that i agree with his list
Nah The Forests make it feel more like a theme park
Depends what we’re judging here. Thrill rides or theming. Thrill rides then I’d agree. Theming, Thorpe is well down the list for me. Doesn’t have distinctive areas like the others.
