40 WAYS TO STYLE A RUSTIC RAKE! SHABBY CHIC FRENCH COUNTRY FARMHOUSE DECORATING

- In this video I feature a worn, rustic garden rack head that I purchased for $10 at an antique store and show 40+ ways it can be styled in your home. This rustic piece can be functional as well as stylish. I show how we can repurpose this rake and use it as a unique and functional decor piece that's sure to be a conversation piece when your guest come over! Whether you are decorating in a farmhouse, French Country or shabby chic theme this piece would make a. great addition to any space in your home. Used rake heads have great rustic features such as an aged patina, worn and aged characteristics. You can usually purchase these at antique, thrift stores or yard sales for very inexpensive prices or you may already have one laying around your home so no cost at all. In this video I give you lots of inspiration and decorating ideas on how you can turn this rake head into a rustic, shabby chic farmhouse decor piece. In my videos I try to offer many shabby chic farmhouse decor ideas and inspiration. I show various ways to reuse things we may already have around the house or may be throwing in the trash! I always try to give tips and inspiration on how I decorate to save money and show many things that are easy DIY projects. I try to go with more simple, elegant and budget friendly shabby chic farmhouse decor pieces and elements! I try to show how you can create nice decor for your home without breaking the bank. I give inspiration and ideas on how to be creative using various items and show how they can be styled throughout your home for all seasons! I think we may have one of those old rake heads lying around in the snow somewhere. I'll be looking for it when the weather gets warmer. I think the most unique look you featured is using it for wine glasses. We don't drink wine but I think I'll be heading to the DT to pick up some stemware and use in my rustic dining room. This was a great video! I would love to see some more like this using other antique pieces. I love antiques and have collected many over the years but I just pretty much set them around and on the fireplace and walls and porch and even tractors in the yard but I would love to see some of your ideas on how to display and decorate with them as well bring out some of my grandmother's precious item's and enjoy them. I have quilts she and I made together as well as some of sewing supplies, dishes, butter churn, etc. I also have a mod podge of antiques I've collected like kitchen items, linens, wooden coke crates, old shoe polish box, wheels, and hand farm tools. Got any ideas???

Hi Debbie! I would spray paint them and do a pretty decoupage graphic on them. Those would make great storage bins for your lace, ribbons, craft supplies, etc. Thanks so much for watching.
How do I clean up the rake before using it? Did you strip off rust somehow or just scrub it with a cleaner? What cleaner do you suggest?
Sharla I just washed it off and wiped it with a towel nothing special.
Where do you find the linen material that you make so many bows and such with?
