I wouldn't guess anyone would assume they're a Religious band looking at their older music since most of it can be taken in multiple ways, plus Hero specifically is about the US Military if you go by the music video they made.
I normally have given up looking at/replying to TH-cam comments....but it's a hard habit to break at times 😂😂 I just had to answer this, I don't mean anything by it and you are the majority of non Panheads who don't know their history buuuut....their "old" music isn't the awake album, their old stuff is actually extremely more in your face Christian, they have been around since 1996. Look up the song "Rippin Me Off" "Alien Youth" and "Earth Invasion". Or look up their Ardent Worship album. They have about 10ish (lost count now) studio made albums. As for Comatose, Awake, and up, they are also Christian albums but John decided to make the albums so that everyone can take something away from it because we are all human going through the same issues. The song Hero is about both aspects (though you don't have to take it as the religious part) it's about humans needing to stand up and become heroes because Jesus is the hero "living in me". Again you don't have to take that as such, you can draw from the human heroes you look up to, your role models and such :)

Every song they do covers for are incredible...every time I listen to them both singing together in the covers they do including the disney songs it always makes me smile and sing-along every time. Two funerals this week, three injuries in the family, and just when I was falling back into despair this song cover comes out and let's me feel some relief.
I like this a lot, you guys did a great job. Maybe I'm just setting myself for disappointment, but whenever I listen to a "metal cover" I hope it is something in a FFDP style (inb4 "acquire taste"), but I still like what you guys did here. It definitely brings back memories! With that said, I have to be a bit critical, not sure if constructive but definitely not malicious: I think this isn't heavy enough. Neither the instruments nor vocals are for my taste "harder and heavier" than the original to a degree to warrant calling it a Metal Cover. It feels more simply like an alternative Hard Rock variant of the original more so than a true Metal Cover/evolution. Then again, I'm bad with music so I am not sure if and how to put that to words in a technical sense.
