بھائی سٹیم کا وقت جتنا بڑھاتے جائیں گے، چاول میں اتنی ہی زیادہ پختگی یا پرانا پن آتا جائے گا۔ ڈبل سٹیم چاول سنگل کی نسبت پکوائی کی مار بھی زیادہ سہہ سکے گا، پکانے کے دوران ٹوٹے گا بھی کم اور سنگل سٹیم کی نسبت اس کے رنگ میں شفافیت مزید بڑھ جائے گی۔ لیکن یہ بات بھی ذہن میں رکھیں کہ جتنی سٹیم بڑھاتے جائیں گے اتنا ہی چاول کی خوشبو کم ہوتی جائے گی اور اسے ہضم کرنا بھی تھوڑا مشکل ہوتا جائے گا۔ خلاصہ یہ کہ گھر میں استعمال کے لیے سنگل سٹیم بہتر ھے جبکہ کمرشل ککنگ کے لیے ڈبل سٹیم بہتر ھے۔
