Could you please confirm what is the necessity to remove germ which is in or with endosperm. I understand that the bran is removed but not sure why they would remove germ to make it consumable.
White rice is obtained from brown rice . After dehusking brown rice obtained which has germ also ,then it is polished and then white rice is produced which we eat .it doesn't have bran layer so this is white in colour

The germ contains fat, which can turn rancid in flour if not properly stored.
That's why it is removed.
