Check the pump output pressure to see what it should be giving ypu , check what pressure the relief valve opens at to see if it's opening too early . Could also be passing seals on the cylinder. Things to look at before you condemn it
Great addition to the GDB portfolio. Will be a good project , hope you keep it until it's ready and lifts the disco. Will await the next one on this. Thanks
OOO I like that, Sounds epic, hope see it around the roads of Staffs, I ill give you a wave if I see you in my Stepwagon!Stuck on the D road in Stoke, now theres a surprise!
Millers, Vulcan Detroit etc always over build for the actual lower SWL, as you said All Hyd needs a good Service inc Grease Nipples along the Steel Rear Suspension might be a issue if weak or Worn , Spring Assisters might be needed , have a look at Detroits System they Developed. Those Sling Lifts can be fitted to the rear and Stowed away ,just back fold them under the Jib If the Law Hasnt changed , Technically you can get away with out a M O T , as it has a Jib , its classed as a Mobile Crane , M O T Exempt
So is the hydraulics ran from the front of the engine? I've heard the hydraulic systems used on the front of the engine are weak and that transmission PTO & pumps are much stronger. But then again could just be the cylinders needing rebuilt/resealed.
Hi Kyle! Thanks for looking! Will get some more in maybe a few weeks … costs alot to order one off items so i try and do in bulk etc! Think ive got a few large and double xl left!
Part of me wonders how you guys manage to get these trucks approved for import into the U.K, there has to be a lot of red tape right? Not saying you imported this one but someone had to.
He Doesnt or ask whats Biggest thing it lifts hes no Pro Operater , can tell by the Equiptment he Runs and Buys, Flips Things from Ebay ,thats where the Cash revolves from. There should be a Good decent type of Recovery on every Vid than buying Crap & Scrap
He runs a few half decent money makers like the sla, disco 4 and the mk4 transit spec the rest is knackered old stuff that he does up and uses for video content these once sold on probably break even financially whilst being abit of a hobby. It seems to be a strategy that works although personally, I would keep my own investment limited to the more modern fleet.
Greg.
Have you considered opening a scrapyard in Stafford, you have enough vehicles you own all ready to go in there now. 👍
Can't believe you drove through Sleaford and didn't pop in for a brew man!

Increasing the engine speed doesn't increase the pressure, it only increases volume and therefore lifting speed .
I fink it looks great .
Thanks so much!
30:37 quick flip on ebay then? Or is it just the disco is too heavy? 😆😆😆

Its a bus engine.
Certainly is! Been used in many of vehicles these engines!
@GDBRescueandrecovery excellent. They used to power double-decker buses and had a 4-speed crash gearbox
You’ve got to stop with the cringey sound effects man! 😂
