    You did a great job explaining detail to detail on installing the deop kit and explaining the problem of the kit and what needs to be corrected to be a bolt on and clean installation. I'm very thankful for you having this video I have a 2015 Silverado 2 wheel drive that I'm going to be lowering and I'm looking for a kit with no hickups .Thank you kepp up with your great videos.

    Great video, it's detailed. Go with 22 inch GMC sierra replica wheels, my 14 came with 20 inch chrome wheels, but I put the 24 inch replicas on my GMC SIERRA, and I upgraded my front and rear lights to the 16 Slt or Denali lights, so at the end of the day, whatever decision u make will be great......😉😁😎👍

    Great video man very detailed. I just lowered my 15 crew cab using 5/7 IHC, they fixed the turning radius issue and have the same amount as stock. The ride is really smooth as good as stock. I also have a 07 silverado classic with a 4/7 drop and helper bags but it rides like shit, have all belltech parts spindles and springs and the flip kit. Mcguaghys and belltech use same components to achieve their drops. Didn't want to go with springs again and decided to go control arms and leave the struts alone. Only issue during install was the mount hole for the top ball joint had to be reamed, the bottom mount fit great and no sleeve need. Sucks you had problems with IHC and hopefully they have improved greatly since.

    • @TWAMotorsports
      @TWAMotorsports  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah they told me they would send me new design although they said a lot of other things that never happened too. I didn't have issues with ride on mcgaughys parts. The ihc kit needed a lot to meet my standards. They also sold a MASSIVE amount of kits due to this video. The owner told me this personally. He then made promises he never delivered. I'm glad the kit is working for you however.

    Great vid. I'm running the same kit but at 6/6 on my '16 Silverado with 22x9's. I had the same concerns with the ball joints. One other thing I had an issue with was my ball joints had almost 0 grease in them so you may want to double check those. The rear shocks are basic Pro-Comp ES9000's. I'm looking at replacing those with some coilovers in the future. Overall I am really happy with the IHC kit.
    That gunk they coat the frames with is horrible.

    Your truck looks great. I recently installed this kit on my 2017 Crew Cab Std bed and I felt the exact same way about the kit as you did but with one major addition, I have a nasty vibration coming from the rear and the pinion angle is definitely off. I am having to use shims to fix the problem. I am not happy at all about that.

    I have a 88-98 Sierra with a 5/7 drop they used the bolt on Leaf spring perch like what you have and the truck has an incredible amount of wheel hop since then any way to fix this? The U bolts are tight I’ve been looking at just throwing a few welds on their spring perch to try and stiffen it up

    Awesome video tutorial! Couple of questions if you don’t mind:
    From your experience dealing with so many lowering kits can you recommend me one for my 2015 Silverado Crew cab with 22 inch wheels for a 4/6 drop?
    It will be too stiff or decent suspension performance?
    Thank you in advance for your help.

    Thank you for making this video. Your truck looks great! I'm thinking of getting this kit for my 2016 silverado cc. One question for you: when you flip the leaf spring bolt, do you also install the plate that is on there under as well or do you not reuse it? In the video it sounds like you don't re-install it. Thanks.

    I don't lnow about the lower but that upper ball joint is a bolt in style for a 88-98 gm truck. they probably did that so if the joint ever fails you can buy and off the shelf part at any part store for it, because i believe the stock ball joints are considered none replaceable.

    • @TWAMotorsports
      @TWAMotorsports  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      travis klotz yes if ball joint goes bad now you just replace the whole a arm.

      It does lift one inch. One the flip kit is completed any short shackle lifts. Longer shackle would lower more. 👍
