I am planning a trip to egypt and on our way there we have a 13 hour layover. we would land in the Casablanca airport at 9am. I was wondering is it better to go to Rabat or Casablanca? And which is safer/prettier? I wanted to explore morocco a little

Well, thank you for putting Royal Air Maroc ahead of Lufthansa and American! I agree, that aircraft needs a deep cleaning!
Other than that, the food is usually delicious and abundant, the before landing snack used to be much elegant and delicious. I guess that was the post pandemic effect on aviation.

I went through Casablanca back in December. I wanted to fly with Royal air Maroc, but they don’t allow seat selection even with a fee unless you purchase a more expensive ticket.
Not correct my friend you can choose your seat against a fee i always do that with royal air maroc!
Never mind .flying out of several airports worldwide, there were "infleuncers," wearing two kilos on their faces and false eye-lashes, fit for a broom. To skip the line. @ Several airports. Was incensed, courteous, and motioned to the back of the line.
worst airline ever.. multiple delays. food is garbage.. trash everywhere.. overpriced for the quality of service you receive. received blankets and pillow with stains on them, didnt even bother taking them out of the bag. never fly with them ever again!
At the end of the day that’s your opinion, won’t go for everyone
Based on my experience I loved it, even better than some other airlines including air france

I used to fly RAM from Morocco to the US in the 90's and the food used to be great. They even served a variety of moroccan almond cookies with mint tea as a snack in economy. I stopped flying with them because they are always the most expensive. I've been flying with Iberia to Casablanca thru Madrid for decades and I like it.

I love ❤️ flying RAM. Negative zero at communications re-delays, with negative zero explainaitions; 2023, July, almost 19 hour delay. Accompanied my husband to CMN circa-16:00hrs. Hung around until 21:00hrs. Then, hopped on a train to Rabat. Was angry as I may be, wrote a lengthy diatribe to RAM, which I have saved to date; my husband had a gig the next morning in the US. Then, I logged on to flight tracker: Ground Stop all along the US East; RAM, be Royal, communicate, unless there are IATA rules that prohibit. At the very least, provide accommodations, specifically to families w/babies & toddlers. As to me , what's his name, head of RAM, ought to go. Same happened to a dear friend of mine. After covering the Festival @ Essaouira and flying back to the US. Perhaps pavillons to passengers who are stranded because of ground stop? And RAM better not set an end date on my, nor my husband's miles. A bon entendu, salut!

@Ruin3.14 RAM pilots are at the very top of crews (Captains, Co-pilots, Navigators, Cabin Crew) internationally. I have been flying RAM & a multitude of other airlines since 1970. And I love ❤️ planes, civilians, or other
