Damn I remember this video and watching over and over again because I couldn't stop watching rct3 videos on TH-cam back in 2009. I just love theme park creation games in general so yeah this made me really happy and still does to this day.
I remember being absolutely awestruck with this park. I had never seen anything this realistic in the game before, and it absolutely blew my mind. I’m sad the sequel park never got finished, but I’m glad we at least got this!
no matter how many times i watch this it never ceases to amaze me that someone could make such a realistic park in RCT3. i would try to make a park like this but i try to stay away from custom scenery.
This just happens to be the BEST Amusement Park video I have ever seen. I love it when people show then entire park instead of just the coaster they put in it. I really enjoyed the carnival music you put in the video when it reached 10 am. Two thumbs up!!

Thanks! Yes I'm working on a park. I have about 2 or 3 in progress, but there's one that I"m spending more time on right now. Hopefully I can have it done with the videos up later this summer. It'll be a little while, but it's coming.

Well it does have one B&M(I know not the greatest, but ok). This park originally started out small with no plans to expand, so I never wanted the coasters to be too big to begin with. I've given some thought on perhaps one day adding something more thrilling to spice up the park. But one thing you will see in my new park, is MUCH MUCH better coasters. I guarantee!!! The scenery pieces for that building were made with a combo of shyguy's main street and water world sets.

Those corkscrew supports are actually hershey's storm runner track. But old-spice has a pretty good corkscrew support set that looks more realistic. I'm going to be using them in my new park.
@Hellokittycool1 I'm not sure what you mean. Usually when I dig ditches, the edges turn out smooth. Are you trying to dig tunnels? Please elaborate, I don't know what you're asking....
@rct3beserkk010 Thanks.... That music(drunken sailor) is played at Six Flags Great America. Unfortunately, the link where I downloaded it from no longer works. But I got some real good stuff from that site. That's the only version of that song I've ever heard.... I wasn't familiar with it before. I'm not sure if Great America still plays it or not, since I hear they play a lot of pop songs around the park these days. Kind of unfortunate.

I record sound effects of individual rides and stuff in an empty park using fraps(I record video clips, then just put the audio in my movie software for my park video). I do this because there is too much lag in Wet 'n' Wild to record the audio.... it would be too distorted and slow. I know it's a pain, but it works....

So I was just wondering wat top websites you download sets from and if you can give me any tips on making a cool park!

@TheLeader1197 The 2 most important things to me are 1) Nice looking layout, and 2) Pacing. Make sure the trains aren't going too slow, or too fast around inversions and turns. Like for example: When the coaster train is at the top of a vetical loop, pause the game and examine the current speed. I think 25 mph is a good speed to have at the height of an inversion. There is a graph in the ride information window where you can look at these statistics.
Where do you get houses and the round tables with the parasols? I have the Soaked and wild expansions.. But I've never seen them? And it's a really cool park! I can't believe that you can make it look that good :)

@junimo123456 The paths are from Das Matze's covers n' more set. After you install the set, you'll find the path pieces in the foliage section of your scenery.
Where did you find the fairground music? It wasnt in the game when I had it - I miss the music from RCT 1 and always wanted it back for the merry go rounds in RCT3
There's some graphical settings that you can adjust when you go into options. There's a checkbox to allow you to have this effect. Although, if you have an older graphics card, the option may not be available.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with how it turned out and everything, but there's a lot of little things that could've been better. My new park will be kinda similar to this, while improving on the things I don't like. Better coasters, better path layout, nicer buildings, and some other things. The new park will look completely different, but you'll notice some similarities.
@ansher25 My 2 favorites right now are Vodhins and Shyguys sites. Just do a search for them.... I don't think they allow links on these comments. There's also Atari, but the list is so huge and disorganized these days. As far as tips.... I don't know, just practice a lot first with all the tools and everything, and familiarize yourself with all the custom scenery. Take your time building the park.... don't hurry. Patience really is the key! I'm glad you like my park!

I think this park tops out at about 2600 people if I remember correctly(I'm pretty sure). The octopus ride came with one of the expansion packs, either soaked or wild, I forget. So, it would be included if you got the platinum edition.
Congratulations your park was very excellent! You have vision to set and even environmentalism parabens! I noticed that the platforms of the thrill rides are a little different from the original game, I wonder how you did those platforms. Thanks!
@Hellokittycool1 Yeah first load your park into the scenario editor. Then there's a tab where you can change the weather type. There's several different weather types that will bring rain from time to time in your park, but I find that "Spooky weather" brings the most frequent amount of rain and thunderstorms. That's what I use to record rainy videos.

Any tips on building good roller coasters? I've always sucked at building voasters and always used the pre-built ones.
