Could one use this process to glue leather straps together for belts, eg: belt liners? The process I use right now is a pain, and this seems so much cleaner.

It looks like you have a mist filter on your camera, is it a 5%? Also, have you considered a subtle edge light to help you pop from the background? Think it would elevate your overall shot

This didn't work for the real leather I use for my patches. The heat pulled all the oils out and shrunk my patch.
