      It is a good hotel if you need to be near the airport, or want the convenience of being close to Tokyo without all the craziness of a hotel in the thick of things.

    I’ve stayed here too recently and this brought back memories! Great video

      It is a good option close to the airport, without actually being at the airport...

    Such a clean, well organised station. Signage in English for tourists. Hotel looks very comfortable although a bit grey looking. (Colour theme). The rooms contained everything you need, Reception, breakfast area and bar makes for a great stay. Regards, Les in Melbourne.

      Thank you... Given how massive the Tokyo transit system is, I was a little worried a few 'mistakes' might be made, but it turned out very easy to use, and with directional features in Google Maps advising which exit to use, everything was very easy and straight forward. Everywhere I went in Tokyo was very clean. Being an Airport Hotel in a commercial precinct, the look was appropriate, and the rooms were a very good size, as a lot of Japanese city hotels are half the size or less.

    I will be going to this hotel in December 2024

      I will be back there in a few days time. If time permits I am going to try and make another video showing transport options to key locations in Tokyo. I know there are plenty of transport videos on TH-cam, but something specific to this hotel. Thanks for commenting, enjoy your stay.

      @ do you suggest I take the train or shuttle bus to the hotel ?

    • @ausflyer
      @ausflyer  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@blkfruitpunch2466 it really depends on when you arrive at the airport, assuming you are flying in. If in the evening the shuttles are very regular, outside of these times, the train is only 3 stops (from T3) and takes 4 minutes, with a short walk to the hotel.

    Looks like a great hotel! So much nicer than the US airport hotels.

      There are some good airport hotels in the U.S., but very few that have so many conveniences close by, and where it is totally safe to walk around at all hours.

      Thank you... I am back staying there for a long weekend next month, then again in early January plus early March between flights. Whilst not directly at the airport, it is close enough, with the shuttle, and train are both super convenient, and some good bars, restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance.

      @@ausflyer yeah lots of good food definitely around the area . There way a really good Katsu restaurant across the street . I thought next door to the hotel was a grocery store when I walked it I was like what is this I guess it’s a pachinko casino 😂

    Thnx for the video! We’ll be at the same hotel in a couple of months, I’m looking for your video showing how you’re taking the metro to the downtown. When you took the limousine bus from the airport to Disneyland did you buy the bus tickets before or is that not needed?

      I am really trying to get a video out in the next couple of days. I have just had 3 days in Osaka and was bedridden with the flu, and have just cancelled my trip to Sapporo tis week (in Tokyo now).
      I think with the bus tickets I bought the first day in advance (just the morning trip) everything else was booked on their website ad lib. When I get my head straight I will provide some more details.

    For shuttle bus airport from Mercure, is it allowed to bring 2 luggages???

    • @ausflyer
      @ausflyer  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I had a large checked hard case, plus a smaller hard case and backpack, so no issues with 2 bags, just be waiting well before the shuttle leaves so you get on the bus.
      I am back there in a few days and will double check.

    hey great video.. Was wondering if it was difficult getting to the city center

    • @ausflyer
      @ausflyer  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My last stay (when I made this video) I went to the Disney Parks over 3 days and just caught the limousine bus from the airport. I did catch the train to a few local areas for dinner, with no issues at all.
      I will be back at this hotel in a few weeks time, with several days of catching the trains into Tokyo city, so will report back then.

    I'm planning to stay there and still decide if I should stay in this hotel for the whole trip. Is it too far or difficult to go places around central Tokyo? Any recommendation on to-go-places nearby ?

    • @ausflyer
      @ausflyer  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I just stayed there again this past weekend and am working on a quick video showing how easy it is to get to the main places in Tokyo, Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, Shibuya (all on the same train line, and only one train change at Shinagawa. I also went to Tokyo SkyTree, Grandberry Park Factory Outlets & Yokohama, all by public transport, and all were very easy to get to.
      Whilst I love the hustle and bustle of the city, staying in Ota, near Haneda was convenient, cheaper, this hotel has very generous sized rooms with usable bathrooms, unlike a lot of other hotels. Plus the Ōtorii train station is a stone throw away, Lawson's & 7-Eleven are across the road, plus Fuji Supermarket is a 5 minute walk in the residential area which is a welcome change to the craziness of Tokyo.
      Depending on how long you are visiting for, maybe stay a few nights here, and some others in the City or somewhere else?

    Great video, I'm currently thinking about staying there for a while on my trip to Japan. How was the noise especially at night, being that close to the airport?

    • @ausflyer
      @ausflyer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      After staying 3 nights, not once did I notice any airport noise. Whilst the hotel is close enough to the terminals, due to the runway layout they are further away. You do get some very light noise from the trains if staying in a room on the rear side of the hotel, it is very very faint (if anything, relaxing) and keep in mind there are no trains between Midnight and 5am.
      I have stays booked in November, January and March, which will most likely result in rooms in different areas of the hotel, will report back if anything is noticeable.
