the height thing is only in the U.S. the interviews I've seen from other countries they girls clearly favor face over height and in some countries like Japan the average ideal height for a man girls say is like 5'7. And in my own experience in Mexico you do see a lot of 6 feet + guys not being preferred at all, over 5'7 handsome guys or not even handsome, sometimes just a masculine personality is all it takes to beat the the tall guys. I really think the height preference in the u's has to do with basketball as the national sport, as girls since very young in school, see the tall guys as more capable because they're good at the sport, and that only makes the tall guys more confident and able to have better personalities too. but even then I'm sure a handsome face and a masculine capable personality is instinctively much more attractive to women than a heigh is.

When I was 22, I was in stage of talking with one girl(19 at the time), she was taller then me for like 5-6 cm (2 inches). She never said openly to me about my height, but I heard from my friend that she was talking about that. Few weeks passed, we talked, went outside few times. im 5'9+ and she's 5'8.5, I met her at the gym. She was regularly approached by guys 6'4, 6'5, 6'2 and they became friends with her and over time used that friendship to ask her out. As a taller guy myself I’ll always stand with my shorter bros and call out height-double standards/hypocracy everytime I hear/sense it from a woman. And it’s funny how easily you can make them see that they mistreated alot of men without realizing it themselfs.
One example that I like to use with them is: “What if you could filter bra size in dating apps like bumble/tinder? What if guys would write “only girls with C+” - guess that would create a big outcry by most women, while demanding a height requirement/filter seems to be perfectly fine”

I’m a woman and I’m 5’6 which is pretty tall for a girl but would actually be considered below average for a guy. And personally I’d go out with a guy shorter than me or taller then me. As long as your not like 4 foot 11 or smth but it’s rare to be that short anyway as a man. Height doesn’t equal attraction to me it’s about your face and If you take care of your body. Like Tom Crews is considered short and I think he’s extremely attractive and Cillian Murphy is also gorgeous

yeah no you can lengthen about 3-4 inches safely and it’s almost impossible to lengthen beyond that without getting extreme complications or being paralyzed and you’d have to pay anywhere from 20-80k$ and take a year off to get it in turkey which the majority of young men can’t afford.

I think there's a 'sweet spot' so to speak. The better your face the more willing a woman is to compromise on height to some extent. Needless to say once you get too short it is over.
