Wright is flakey and has an issue with his marking technique. He needs some mentoring. He throws his hands in the air, tries to take the ball at the highest point and takes his eyes off it. Langford is a good player but isn’t a key forward. Stringer is Stringer, and none of them can be relied upon at the moment. We need a smart and talented small forward to complement Caddy when he inevitably takes up one of the key forward roles. Agree on Draper he’s a nuffy. I like his energy but that’s all there is… give Bryan a chance.

Team selection was shit considering the conditions. Went in too tall. Hampered our ability in terms of ground balls, covering the ground and applying pressure. Jones was good on a wing was good, but having Cox as our sub instead of Hobbs was ridiculous My biggest concern is over our ruck situation. We need a complete ruckman, not 2 players that combine to give you a performance that one alone should be capable of. Goldy is old and may well be his last year. Draper is young, but the facts are that in the last couple of years he has been injury prone and not shown any development in his skills over the last 2 years. Nick Bryan’s form in the 2’s has been more than enough to earn a string of AFL games. If we’re going to play two rucks, I’d rather play Goldy and Bryan. We need to conclusively find out where our ruck stocks are because it would be typical Essendon for Bryan to leave and do a D’Ambrossio. In hindsight we should have played Goldy only and brought Caddy in. Archie Perkins - 62% game time? Needs a spell in the 2’s Wright was better than expected in the conditions and thought he did well considering, but both he and McKay need to practice their marking Small forwards Gresham, Guelfi and Hind, at least one of these players need to be at the drop of the ball in front of players like Wright. On this note, Guelfi and even Langford need to stop playing tall in situations where someone like Wright is contesting a mark. As for Menzie, I don’t mind playing him in defence. Just didn’t see enough of the ball and if Kelly wasn’t sick, no way should he have played in this position.
Scott has NFI. Mid-season and he's still trying to work out what certain player's best position are; at least show some selection integrity. But in fairness this is the house Dodoro built; a list balance that could tip The Titanic to the bottom of the ocean.
Brad said it in his press conference. Something along the lines of do we play the best 22 players or do you play the best players for the sytem and roles. He is playing what he thinks are 'the best players' not dependant on whether they can play the available role or not. That is a major problem.
The amount of times the ball went to peter wright and he dropped it was baffling. He needs to clunk them. Also his actual contested work is awful. I also agree re draper. Really concerning

100% believe Peter Wright is detrimental to the performance of the team. If he can't mark, he's useless. Sometimes I wonder if he's being extorted or blackmailed or something, with the way he drops absolute sitters, and makes horrible decisions that result in turnovers.

Mert also tipped us to finish bottom 5 at the start the year we are 4th at round seven, st kilda played finals last year we beat them after they beat Collingwood and were in the 8 at the time , beat Adelaide away the draper free kick to suit his narratives we kick straight we would have won by 6 goals!
