Honestly no other club is offering McGrath a 6 year contract on top dollar and if they were good luck to him, see you later. No player is bigger than the team. This club will regret handing out 5/6 year deals to average players. I see many years of pain ahead.
Meet with Luke Hodge and shake hands behind closed doors that he will be our next coach once Scott gets the axe next year.
I am genuinely concerned that our young players will want out next year with Scott at the helm, he is reactive and acts only after media and fan scrutiny, he lacks innovation and vision and doesn't move the magnets. He doesn't play youth and is as ridged and stale as any coach I have ever seen.
I am concerned.

Agree with all this. The fact he not once ever thought we could benefit from atleast trying to coach from the bench, shows the lack of innovation

We got smashed, accurate kicking from them and we lose by 80 points. And the lions stopped for some junk time goals from us in the last quarter. Smashed in inside 50s, -20 clearances, it was horrible.
Dreamtime at the G was the beginning of the downfall. Other teams were beating them by 15 goals, and we scrapped a 2 goal win. You could tell then it was the same old Essendon.
When was the last time we genuinely put a team away?

i think we need a full rebuild. trade langford, redman, parish, stringer. None of them will be part of our next flag push. We could get first round picks for langford and parish, second round for redman and possibly also stringer.

I think we’ve got a decent enough mix of fwds and mids but our backline needs to be completely revamped

If we're going hard at the draft and looking to rebuild... This year has been an absolute waste. The likes of Roberts, Tsatas, Hobbs and Hayes should have been in the side towards the start of the year. Why have we blooded so little youth? After seeing another year of Scott's game plan and team selection, I'm really starting to question his ability to coach. This club is in no man's land once again...BRING BACK HIRD!

Biggest Disappointment = Archie Perkins ..... he just doesn't care enough...never bends down for the ball or chases an opponent
I can’t believe that we delisted Kaine Baldwin with Laverde and Kelly still on the list.
He seemed like an easy replacement/upgrade on Lav who is such an average player.
Laverde and kelly are available to play and we have no one to replace them right now. Baldwin has played like 10 games in the 4 years he’s been at this club. Too many injuries.

Let's bring in Petracca we have better trade bait than most clubs and he wants a big Vic club. Throw up Parish and Wright with a 2nd round. Or Harry Jones and Hobbs with a pick. They need a tall forward
Lmao. You think the Dees are going to trade Christian Petracca for Darcy Parish and Peter Wright? Definitely should not be chasing Petracca - we should be going to the draft trying to find the next Petracca.
Petracca wants to get away from drug culture, no way on Earth he wants to be traded to the Dons. The Dons still stink too much from Hird's time as coach for Petracca. Christian wants to be at a club with an actual good culture, not another poor performing, no future Don's fiasco. Brad the Dud needs to go, along with a massive shake up, and no more talk of Hird.
Hird sacrificed all the good he did for the Dons and more as a player, when he was coach. It was no one else's fault, he was in charge.
Davey & Davey got to go too. Both seem so far off senior level it’s just crazy. Alwyn Jr is scared of contact, and can’t find the footy, and Jayden can’t even be found close to a senior game. How Alwyn got a game above guys like Tsatas was sickening.
News is Tsatas is not popular amongst the coaches and playing group, if so, move him on and trade while he’s young, his VFL stats are brilliant, which makes you think it must be true that he has people offside. Especially when some time in Parish’s role would’ve been ideal for him when injured and we didn’t even see him then.

RE the commentary of Redman potentially being disenfranchised in a different role; whilst hypothetically unprofessional, I wouldn't blame him either. Brad Scott is an absolute dunce for playing Nic Martin in defense. Not the only idiotic coaching team selection either; Jake Kelly on the wing etc. I've lost all hope in this club with Brad at the helm. He's a stubborn moron that doesn't develop young players.
Well we need to be really ruthless now. Matt Rosa without AD can now show his wears.
Let's clean out the closet and get on with the pre season. Focus should now be on players skills including kicking skills... Goals, passes, and a much better game plan.

There is nothing good about Essendon. The club is infected by mediocrity. The rot amongst players and staff needs to be cut out.
So the Club is going to waste draft picks again on a small forward in Isaac Kako when they should be going for youth by trying to get a Big Full forward as Peter Wright is not the Answer and Nate caddy will be more of a Center Half Forward/ Mid Fielder the club needs to stop wasting draft pick on positions they don't need they got enough small forwards they lack 2 Key Forwards 1 Key Defender and 2 Big Body Mid fielders ,Unless the club is willing to let go of spuds they will never win anything at all.
Time to get the razor out
