- Fred VanVleet has fulfilled the role of veteran leader perfectly. He has been the team's primary playmaker and a great perimeter defender. He has instilled a winning culture in Houston alongside other veterans and Ime Udoka. He has shot nearly 39% from the 3-point line, and although he has sometimes had questionable shot selection, he has shown up in crucial moments and has been a great mentor to the young players this season.
