This game has one of the most interesting ascension systems out there since there are positives and negatives to each level, I really hope this series continues!
The game is too easy
@@mcbigwang1277 I think high level trial mode may get more difficult, I'm up to 6 right now and it's starting to get more challenging. The good thing is that trial mode feels more like a challenge than a chore.
@@wallyfarflinger I did the first trial and one turn killed the final boss I haven't lost a round yet
Definitely continue this please, I love this series.
The pain talisman is extremely fun. You can build it so many different ways, from straightforward hurt triggers to attacking allies, debuff stacking or any combination of them.
It also has cool interactions with some of the weirder equipment. For example, the tentacle and backpack decrease your strength permanently when you take them off, which can be unwieldy for other factions but is excellent for self-attacking builds here.
Probably my favorite
@@weatherboy2009yeah, it's surprisingly versatile because apart from the effects of its chimeras the double die enables a lot of build possibilities. Like dedicated activation builds are extremely hard to get going unless you lucked into good activation-generating items or have activation faces on a couple die as this faction.
More Activation relics unlock as you progress, making Activation builds viable. One just nukes your opponents if you can stall a few turns.
@@chrisosborn6401 I think the main problem with dedicated activation builds is resource generation. Can't really make a build around it until you get good activation generating items, the 1 activation dice face you get at the mausoleum is not nearly enough.
Had a nice runic bracer fake jewel run as the pain faction, but I was lucky to get toolbox early and some activation faces at the dicesmith.
I'm enjoying this mini series, I thought we might have tried all the factions but seeing as there's a new unlock, we gotta keep going, eh?
Really cool run, let’s see what comes next
i like that, based on the fact that the Dralcapel deals 100 damage to itself at the end of the turn....that implies that that thing has a BASE intelligence of 100, imagine if there was some item or something that used intelligence for its effect outside of the ability
Damn, first ascension giving an extra die to the enemy is wild. It'll be interesting to see how it balances the bonuses and negatives going through the higher levels.
I am enjoying this game :3
23:40 I am convinced this is a reference to Touhou
Interesting faction.
The pain faction seems quite broken to me. You pretty much get 6 dice on each turn, which lets you do wild things. And the only drawback is that you might get a hurt die roll , which might even be what you want. I love the pain faction, but it seems way too OP.
Did jet blaster get buffed i remember it taking more than it gave you last time
:D
