How quiet would you say the Cuisinart machine is? My apartments walls are paper thin and I already had a lot arguments with my neighbors because i practice violin, I don't want to have another one of those arguments!

People take a dig at suburbs, but neighbors complaining about noise or noisy neighbors is enough reason I choose it over living in an apartment! Anyways, to answer your question I'd say the Cuisinart machine is fairly quiet. Obviously it's not dead silent but to give you an idea, I don't hear it after I leave the kitchen. So you probably won't have another argument with your neighbors, don't worry about it! Thanks for watching the video!

Well, you're in luck! All of the ice cream makers (except Fao Schwarz) I mentioned in this video come with a recipe book with the purchase, so you won't even have to check out the recipes on the Internet. By the way, don't let these machines scare you, making ice cream is a lot easier than cooking! Believe me, I'm a terrible cook too but I have making wonders with these machines so I'd say go for it!

Hey Ken! Thanks for the awesome video! Just one question, why do you need to put bananas in the Yonanas even if you want to make ice cream with another type of fruit? You also mentioned that in the video and the Amazon description also says that and I didn't get a clear answer anywhere? Would really love if you answered, thanks!

Thanks for the awesome comment! Really appreciate seeing this kind of positive feedback in the comments! So here's the thing about bananas: they give the creamy texture that we are used to eating when we're thinking ice cream. Think of bananas as a binder, since Yonanas is not a traditional ice cream maker like the other machines in our list they use bananas to achieve that kind of ice creamy texture. In the recipe book that comes with the purchase, there are a lot of recipes that are made without using bananas, however the end result is more like a sorbet than ice cream. I know this is a bit complicated, hope I was able to explain it clearly! Thanks again for watching, enjoy your ice cream!

Hi so i bought the Yonanas but I was a bit confused why is it telling me to put bananas after they become brown? Isn't having fresh banana better, I just don't get it :)

When a banana goes brown, it gets more sugary. So if you wait for it to go a bit brown (not entirely brown - then it would be rotten :) you wouldn't have to add any sugar to your sorbet. If you've ever eaten banana bread, the same thing applies there too. A good banana bread is always made with brown spotted bananas!
