i have no problem with neville saying man city will catch arsenal, its a perfectly reasonable take, but to have man united in 2nd and arsenal 3rd is just pure bias
I'm half wondering if he's joking. It's such a stupid take. I'd love us to catch Arsenal up but I think yesterday was the most realistic chance we had. We're just not at their level yet. Next year perhaps.

Newcastle's form isn't just this season, they've been like this for over a year now. Their rolling 38 game total is 76 points, which gets Champions League qualification in all but one Premier League season since there's been a top 4.

Some extremely poor takes by Gary there (I normally think the guy talks a lot of sense) Arsenal have been terrific this season, Man United have massively improved, but have had a few fortunate results, you cannot say thar about Arsenal. Newcastle have been around the top 4 on form for around 40 games, so to expect a big drop off, is a strange take. They have also been very unlucky with VAR this season. And Messi, well, his comments in him are nothing short of lunacy!

Last season Man City were 11 points clear of Liverpool after 21 games, lost only 1 of their remaining 17 league games that season and still nearly lost the league on the last day. Anything can change

Most seem to be criticising Neville but you can't have one without the other and people need to remember that the producers want controversy, they will be encouraging them to argue, they want that entertainment and boy do they deliver. As an Arsenal fan, this is just pure gold. Apart from the massive satisfaction that Arsenal is playing the best football in decades, and the stadium buzzing like it's never been, with a group of players that have massive potential, one thing that gives me even more satisfaction is us proving every other doubters wrong. I don't know if we are going to win the league, but if and when we do it, I look forward to watching MNF again 🤣 But in the meantime, we stay humble and our focus is just on the next game.

They discuss how lucky Arsenal have been with injuries but how easily they have forgotten it was injuries to key players in the last few fixtures that cost us top4 last season but the narrative from pundits is we threw it away or bottled it!
100% this. It's always that our team was too young and we bottled it when in reality, it was the young players that dragged us through the season and it was the older and more experienced players who let us down like Cedric, Holding, Laca and Partey (with his injury record). Funny how that was narrative last season but no one is making what should be a justifiable song and dance about that same young team doing what they're doing at the moment and setting a 100 point pace so far.

@@thomasjolley3696 Compared to who? Liverpool? Chelsea? I would say those teams have been particularly unlucky.
We had Partey out early in the season AND his backup, Elneny, at the same time. This made us very quickly change what we were doing at the end of the transfer window maybe costing us the opportunity to do what we had originally planned and even then we failed to sign the player we wanted (Douglas Luiz). We dealt with it though and lost our only game this season to united during this time.
We've lost Jesus now but we've dealt with it. We haven't had Zinchencko for the majority of the season but we've dealt with it. We've had ESR out basically all season. Vieira was injured as soon as he came in. Reiss Nelson has been out for a good period of time now and he was our only real viable rotation for the wings. Tomi hasn't been able to feature either because of recurring injury problems. I'd say the only reason our injury problems haven't been worse is because 6 of probably our best 11 either didn't go to the world cup or had little to no game time.
@@greenenoiseaudio 7 of your starting 11 have started every game this season which just shows how lucky you've been with injury and naming players like reiss nelson and fabio vieira is irrelevant because they wouldn't start anyway even in comparison to Man City who have Been without Dias and Laporte for the majority of the season id say you've been lucky as I don't think I could imagine arsenal without saliba and gabriel. Nothing against Arsenal who deserve to be first I just think that you could struggle if you lost a couple key players like almost all of the other teams have

If Arsenal win, say, 13 of their final 19 games (well below their current form), United would have to win 17 of their remaining 18 games in order to have a chance at finishing above them (and that's assuming Arsenal don't draw any of the 6 games they don't win). Let that sink in.

The last two games have proved that Arsenal have the mentality to deal with it this year for me.
With City losing the derby it felt like the North London Derby the next day was massive and a kinda felt they would miss the opportunity - they didn’t.
Then against Utd they got that last minute winner when they had been pegged back showed a champions mindset.
They look hungry and they look like they have a real togetherness. Felt a pivotal moment.
You’ll only know how you handle it when you’re in it but they are in it now and they are handling it with flying colours for me the now
