    The “outdoor activities” section contains footage of downtown Brighton, MI not Ann Arbor. Brighton is about 20-30mins north.

      Hey 👋 there. It’s really hard to compare a larger downtown area like Chicago to Ann Arbor. From what I know of Lake View, it’s townhomes and condos. Ann Arbor has a variety of townhomes and condo through the city. Kerry town is a great area and lower Water Hill and Old West side have some options as well. Reach out if you need anything!

    Great video! What is it like in the dead of winter? Are people still out and about? I’ve visited a few times but don’t know what it’s like to be there at that time.

      @TRULIVINGMICHIGAN  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a lot of things to do in the winter to keep active. There’s still some really cold day but for the most part people are on the go still.

    • @TakenTook

      Part of the problem with Ann Arbor is that it is fairly hilly with sloping streets and sidewalks, and in the university areas in particular they only seem to use sand on the sidewalks, because they view road salt as damaging. But sand is not anywhere near as helpful as salt on icy streets and sidewalks, because it only provides a tiny bit of traction, and does almost nothing to melt ice. So be very careful walking around in A2 in the winter, and make sure you have a good pair of boots.

    Yeah ridiculous 1.75% property taxes. With a home at $700,000 you will be paying a little over a $1000 a month plus home insurance after you pay off your home.

      Can you be more specific about what you are referring to as contaminated?

    • @TakenTook
      @TakenTook ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want to live near Ann Arbor, but have your municipal water supply come from the (so far) very safe and reliable Detroit water dept/ Great Lakes Water Authority, instead of from the Huron river, then you want to live in Ypsilanti, Pittsfield Township, or Superior Township

    • @wickintime2203
      @wickintime2203 ปีที่แล้ว

      @TakenTook no - you're wrong. 85% or our water supply comes from Huron River with 15% coming from local wells. So, Ann Arbor water isn't the best and getting worse.

    • @TakenTook
      @TakenTook ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wickintime2203 -- Which is why I specifically said, Ypsi, Pittsfield, and Superior - which are on Detroit water, not Ann Arbor water. Go back and read my comment again.
      I said if people want to live NEAR Ann Arbor but not have that Huron river water.
      I did not say IN Ann Arbor

    • @TakenTook
      @TakenTook ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wickintime2203 -- hyperlinks sometimes get deleted, so I'm going to post a hyperlink in a separate comment. But it will have the great lakes water authority map. You'll see that Ypsi, Superior Township, and Pittsfield Township have Detroit water from GLWA.
      You'll also notice on the GLWA map that Ann Arbor is **not** on GLWA water.
      So you and I actually **agree** about Ann Arbor water being bad.
