As a junior at Michigan double majoring in business and film tv media, I agree w what you say about the alumni network!! umich alumni have been so helpful in helping me figure out what kind of career in entertainment I want to have after college
I work for u of m and I feel so bad for the squirrels. I've seen some so fat they fall out of the trees when trying to climb. I went to a different Michigan college, but I feel like sometimes scheduling can make things difficult. You really have to plan out walking, bus schedules, ect when trying to schedule classes that might be far from each other. That can be a challenge if you don't have good advising. That's also a struggle for people that work on Central campus too.
Is a good university to study fields in science? Like astronomy or to become an astrophysicist? How harsh is it to walk around in winter months so people fall down regularly? Do professors let you still join class if you are late? And do the bus route run through all campus and do they run on time or it better to walk? Is there a classes everyday ?
Yes, it's a good university for science (it is a research university). It gets cold and snowy in the winter but walking isn't too bad when the paths are cleared and salt is sprinkled to melt snow/ice. In big classes especially, professors don't usually care if you're late. You can usually come in late, but you might've missed some of the lecture. Some classes are recorded so you can rewatch if you missed something. Only a few of my classes take attendance. They are several bus routes running through campus. There are several MBuses (the blue one) and "The Ride" buses (Ann Arbor city buses). They are mostly on time, but if you can walk and don't have to walk very far, that's also a good option. Not every class meets everyday - they usually meet several times a week. But with all of your classes combined you might end up with a few classes each day. If you wanted to, you could try to make your schedule so that you don't have classes one day, like Fridays, but that makes the rest of the week much more busier for you.
thanks for video. Is living in Ann Arbor as an international student expensive? for example campare to California? i mean prices of products, renting houses, or food.
Planning to transfer from out- of-state university(Cal State Fullerton) to UMICH. Am I eligible for financial aid as an out-of- state transferred student ?
i had completed my 12th in pre medical group. So as a pre medical group can i get admission in computer science department bachelor program at Michigan university?
Yes, here's a website that shows all the tuition costs: admissions.umich.edu/costs-aid/costs I got a couple merit scholarships but wasn't granted any financial aid
Hey! Michigan is super diverse since the undergraduate class is so massive and so it’s much easier to find people with similar interests as opposed to going to a smaller school
I can't speak to UC Berkeley since I've never taken classes there but Umich eecs is pretty good and they definitely have a rigorous curriculum from my personal experience
I just got into UMICH, this video is really helpful. ❤
🎉me too
Yayy samee

yay!!! congrats :)
umich is my dream school.... the squirrel feeding clubs is lowkey funny haha
You are incredibly beautiful! I am a fellow undergrad. Always happy to hear other students' college experiences.
North campus is really beautiful. North campus is "new" and high-tech beautiful and central campus is traditional college beautiful.
imo the Law Quad is one of the USA's best pieces of architecture. It's comparable to anything anywhere in the world.
banger alert

Your football team beats Ohio State in your freshman year. I bet it's nice to have that under your belt already.

I'm not studying aerospace but I've heard good things about the programs here :)
