I was a chronic Christian Fornicator. But in 1996, after a number of failed attempts at long-term celibacy, I finally met the sweetest woman in the world. We both experienced devastatingly painful divorces. We dated for a year and a half and consummated our marriage on our honeymoon! PRAISE GOD! We've have been married for 27 years. She respected my celibacy commitment and she wanted to honor God, too. Here's the deal, if I had fornicated with her one time before marriage, I'm certain that I wouldn't have married her. And I would have missed out on the best life-partner a man like me could ever have!
We're both senior citizens now, and the Most High God is still blessing our sex life. And I'm convinced it's because we dedicated our bodies to him. I was also a cheater before this triumph. But deliverance is sweet and sin is not! Nothing is impossible with God, but we MUST DO OUR PART!

They still seem to be putting the responsibility on women to be pure to help them stay pure. But that's not how that works. Each person is supposed to be pure for their own sakes. If you truly are a man of God living for Christ and have him as your center of attention, it doesn't matter what a woman throws at you, you should be able to say "get behind me Satan," and mean it. And if you lose control or fall don't, blame her, blame yourself.

What so dangerous about that panel is the lack of understanding of the severe danger they are in with God. The scripture says the sexually immoral person will NOT inherit the kingdom of God. It also says fornication should not be named once among us. I know it’s a real challenge for single men and women, however we are all required to live right in this area if we want to be saved. If people are struggling with staying celibate until marriage, I advice that they examine themselves to see if they are really Christian and really have Christ in them. I used to fornicate all the time. I knew it was wrong, but sometimes I just didn't have control. I was going through some emotional challenges one time after a hard breakup and I cried out for help. I must have been serious in my heart because this was different from times in the past that I had cried out. Christ is not coming to help when you are not serious in the heart. You have to really want to give up your sins (if Christ takes them away, you won't miss them). Next thing that I know, sinful acts that I had been participating in for years (not just premarital sex) started falling away. Some of those acts were acts that I thought I could never stop doing. They didn't all go away over night....it took time bit by bit. But eventually all gone. I didn't even put any effort to "try" to stop. Those acts just faded away. Today, I haven't had sex in nearly 9 years and I use no effort to stay that way. I definitely would like to have sex again (married of course). But right now, there is no desire in me to have it unmarried. In the old days, I couldn't go to a place like Miami Beach without almost going crazy trying to contain myself from lusting and wanting sex. Nowadays, I will feel nothing if I were there....might even get a little disgusted at what I see.

I can’t take a “Christian” man seriously who doesn’t mind fornicating. To me that’s being religious and it’s one of the reasons outsiders don’t take the church seriously.

If they can’t abstain for “ sex” then how in the heaven can they be trusted with any other thing that requires patience gentleness and long suffering? If I can wait…then so can he!! Or he is just not the man for me. The female sex organ has 3000 nerves while the male organ has one. So who shouldn’t be able to abstain because of the need for pleasure? ..WOMEN! What about if you have to abstain if one of you has an illness or recovery from some physical ailment. It’s all a farce to escape accountability and self control….As a matter of fact we as women get offered sex much more than men and have the opportunity to do it and don’t. You are free to do what you please but since you put it out there I wanted to know if you are unfollowing because his sin is known to everyone or something else? From what I know, his platform is about financial education. So I’m just wondering.

@@Chrissy-Jay he talks about God a lot on his platform that you would think he would understand the importance of celibacy. He said that’s where he falls short but he didn’t say what if anything he’s doing to fight that sin. It’s disappointing because there are so many women like myself trying to be pure and it makes me question are there any men love God enough to try to do the same? He has a large following so I imagine this might make other men comfortable instead of pushing them to do better.
It’s also hard that someone with his wealth would be sleeping around when he could get a woman pregnant that would zap his wealth.
Also The Bible speaks that sexual immorality is a sin that hurts your own flesh and it’s not to be taken lightly. Though I appreciate his honesty, I will be willing to listen to him when he takes God more seriously.

Fornication is in general, defrauding the brethren/the saved.
In particular, a form of fornication involves unlawful sex.
For examples, when Ham saw Noah’s nakedness, the Bible’s (KJB) wording reveals that Ham slept with Noah’s wife, Ham’s mother, and this fornication/unlawful sex brought Canaan into the world (which is why Noah cursed Canaan). This act was fornication because it defrauded Noah and his wife, both saved people, in that Noah’s wife was off limits to Ham. Paul rebukes this fornication in 1 Corinthians 5:1. The man in that case was sleeping with his father’s wife, that woman wasn’t his to sleep with - they were unmarried.
In Leviticus 18, all the parties listed are sexually off limits *if not married to each other*.
(There are many examples in the Bible of men taking to wife sisters, aunts, cousins, etc., which then would make sex between them lawful. If not married though, it would be fornication: hence the verse, “it is better to marry than to burn”.)
Sex between two saved persons outside of marriage is fornication: in OT law, the man would have to marry the virgin of Israel that he humbled. If she were a fiancé, the man would be put to death, and the maid also, if it happened in a city. If it happened in the woods, and she cried but no one was around, it was treated as though the man raped her or as if someone got murdered. So she would not have been put to death in that case.
Fornication is not exclusively sex outside of marriage. Samson laid a philistine harlot in Gaza. Gilead laid a harlot and had Jepthah. Judah thought Tamar was a harlot and produced Pharez and Zarah with her. Pharez was an ancestor of Jesus. The Hebrew young men would have laid with Ruth if they could, but Boaz told them not to.
You see, Israelite maidens were not harlots (look at what Dinah’s brothers said about her and Shechem in Genesis 31).
There is a difference in the eyes of God between an unsaved woman (like a Philistine or a Midianite woman) and a saved woman (like an Israelite-OT).
The Israelite maidens were expected to be virgins up until they were given to a man by their father. It was dire consequences if Israelite maidens were found to not be virgins at time of consummation of marriage.
Israelite men however, did not have the same sexual limits set upon them. Many Israelite men had multiple wives, for example. How would those men be virgins before marriage to the other wives? It didn’t matter: saved, bachelor men can have sex with unmarried, unsaved women. Once the man marries, though, the limits of sex are to his wife or wives, only.
Samson’s parents weren’t worried about their bachelor son’s philistine/pagan/unsaved girlfriends. They just didn’t want him marrying a pagan. Look it up.
The priest asked David if the men had “at least” kept themselves from women when David requested the showbread. Meaning, it was common knowledge that Israelite men who didn’t have wives would regularly lay harlots or get pagan girlfriends like Samson did.
The concept that all sex outside of marriage is fornication is not biblical at all, but originated with pagan philosophy. Some Christian teachers early on took up some of that pagan philosophy (see Colossians 2:8 KJB) and mixed biblical doctrine with it.
So it’s vital that we Bible believers stick to scripture (KJB) and believe God’s words and not what man says about God’s words. ♥️

I want to debate this. I don't think examples like these are prescriptive but instead descriptive. Scripture says fornicators will not inherit the kingdom of God. And also if a man cannot practice self control he should marry. Every man should have his own wife.

@@jennymentor9191 Scripture does say that fornicators will not inherit the kingdom of God. The key is in the biblical definition of fornication, not the traditional, accepted definition.
Esau was called a fornicator, yet in the text he clearly married.
Samson in the text clearly laid a harlot, yet in the same book of Hebrews in which Esau is called a fornicator, Samson is listed in the hall of faith in chapter eleven.
There is more to fornication than just unlawful sex. That is just one particular sin that is included in the Bible’s use of the word “fornication”.
It is very significant that the above examples from the Old Testament were provided to us. What is said and is not said is very significant because the New Testament is a much smaller portion of the Bible.
When Jesus asked of those Pharisees and other onlookers in his day, “Have ye not read?” and “Is it not written?”, the Lord was pointing them to the Old Testament, because the New Testament hadn’t yet been written.
And the Old Testament is what those early disciples like Peter and Paul were studying instead of waiting tables.

@@moose_tracks41 Jesus raised the bar though. When Jesus said that "the law says not to commit adultery, but I say if anyone looks at a woman with lust in his eyes he has committed adultery with her in his heart." And in addition, Paul talks about how our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and how could one think about joining themselves with a prostitute(or harlot)? Scripture tells us in Acts that God overlooked ignorance in earlier times but He is calling all to repentance.

@@jennymentor9191 Jesus Christ fulfilled the law (Matthew 5:17 KJB). He also exposed the professing church’s hypocrisy in their outward show of religion whilst being filthy on the inside as well as their lack of sound doctrine and biblical knowledge. In John 3, Jesus expressed disappointment in a church leader named Nicodemus because Nicodemus didn’t understand the second birth (v. 10).
      You mentioned Matthew 5:28:
“But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”
If someone said, “You have a nice house”, you would probably say thanks and think nothing more of it.
If they said, “Nice house, I want it for myself”, then you would be on alert.
If someone said, “Your wife is gorgeous/hot”, that is one thing. If that person said, “I want your wife for myself”, that is another thing.
The key phrase in Matthew 5:28 is “to lust after her” which means that that man is courting thoughts of taking that woman unto himself.
It’s okay to appreciate another’s wife or truck or house; it’s sin to lust after another’s wife, truck, house etc.
This kind of lust is what Lucifer had when he was in charge of Eden. All those possessions got to him, and he decided for himself that he wanted those things to be his in principal, not as a vassal governor of the Lord’s on the Lord’s earth.
1 Corinthians 6 talks about fornication and how it is “defrauding the brethren” (v. 8).
Verses 13-20 remind us Christians that we not only have two bodies (a physical, fleshly one that will perish, and a spiritual one that is the temple of the holy ghost and will not perish: 1 Corinthians 15:44 KJB), but that the body of Christ, of which there are many members, is not for fucking/screwing itself, but is for the Lord.
How does the body of Christ fuck itself? Take Achan for example (Joshua 7). His sin soiled the entire congregation of Israel/body of Christ. His act of disobedience in taking the “accursed thing” polluted the rest of the Church: this sin was fornication.
Compare this concept above to what is written in Leviticus 21:7, 9, 13, & 14; and Haggai 2:12-14 KJB.
(This is a big reason Christ was so pissed off about biblical ignorance and doctrinal incongruences such as that in Matthew 15:2, 3 KJB - this leaven polluted the entire body of Christ).
So, in 1 Corinthians 6, and again in 1 Corinthians 10, Christians are reminded of the fact that we are a unit, and that there are sins that do not affect the entire unit (non-fornication sins), and there are sins that do affect the entire unit/body - like Achan’s - which make the entire body one with a whore (therefore, fornication, i.e. defrauding the brethren).

@@jennymentor9191 Jesus Christ fulfilled the law (Matthew 5:17) and exposed the hypocrisy in the professing church back then. They were shrouded in outward show with little knowledge of the Bible. He was disappointed in Nicodemus, a leader in Israel, because Nicodemus didn’t understand the second birth (John 3).
There is a difference in appreciating something and desiring to take that “something” for oneself. Desiring to take something is lusting after something.
Jesus pointed out that everyone was fixated on the act of adultery, but that the issue went even deeper into the heart.
1 Corinthians 6 and 1 Corinthians 10 remind us Christians that we are the body of Christ. A body has many members. It is a unit.
We are also reminded that we have two bodies: a physical body that will perish and a spiritual body, which is the temple of the holy ghost, that will not perish (1 Co. 15:44).
We are reminded that the body of Christ is not for fornication but for the Lord. We as Christians shouldn’t be screwing/defrauding each other. This is fornication.
When Achan took the accursed thing, he committed fornication, and the whole body of Christ suffered because of it.
      Compare that concept above with Leviticus 21:7, 9, 13, & 14; and Haggai 2:12-14.
There are “localized” sins that don’t affect the entire body; and there are “whole body sins” that pollute the entire body. The latter is a case of fornication.
If it hurts or hinders the body of Christ, like Achan’s sin did, then it is fornication (“defrauding the brethren”).
And if the body of Christ is polluted by fornication, it is then “joined to a harlot” and not pure and chaste for the Lord.
For this reason, fornication - the act of defrauding and polluting the brethren - is cause for putting away a member of the body of Christ forever (Matthew 19:9).
      All references KJB.

That Luke warm definition or narrative is WRONG. The Bible clearly tells us what Luke warm is. People are stuck on “neither hot or cold” and seem to stop reading. Let’s discuss.
“So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:”
    ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Maybe it’s because the text puts a period before because that trips people up. A Luke warm person is on that have not been through the fire of Holy Spirit and feel like they are on top of the world. One that is rich and need of nothing. We can see this from the book of Job. A lukewarm person is JOB before he went through his trial and tribulations.
“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters. His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Job was rich and needed nothing. Then God spued him out His mouth to Satan.
“And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬-‭12‬ ‭KJV‬‬
You see God was warning or letting the church of Laodiceans know that they were about to go through some trials and tribulations. He was getting them ready.
“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
    ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3‬:‭19‬-‭22‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    God bless!
