    What we need in 2023 is a 4K Atem Mini Extreme ISO with Ultimatte 12 included in it, and videos with alpha channels in the media tab folders.

    • @AlexPettitt

    I would love to see a Companion tutorial that functions with OBS as it does with macros in the ATEM Mini. Specifically a button on a Stream Deck that activates a Source to run such as an animation. When the animation is complete, the Source button automatically returns to its OFF state. I’ve requested this feature directly via email with Elgato.

    What I'm looking for is a macro that puts camera 3 to the side and activates camera 1 on the right just like you showed, but not as a super source but for atem mini pro. Next step would be deviding my camera 1 in 4 sectors an crop into the sector so that you have kinda like a zoom on different positions within the frame. Give each Sector a new macro and put it on a stream deck. so in the end I would have a big screen camera 3 with 4 macros of different positions zoomed in in camera 1 and each of the macros on a stream deck button. Is that even possible?
    Anyways, you helped me A LOT with understanding macros as a beginner so thank you sooo much

    Hi Alex. Have you recorded a video showing how to bring in guests as interviewees that are remote. I use ecamm as well but because I can’t see how to easily bring in folks over the web. Thanks!

    • @AlexPettitt
      @AlexPettitt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Ernest, as far as I can remember I haven't done a dedicated video on bringing in remote guests. With the ATEM there's nothing inbuilt to do it, so you need to use an external service and then feed that in via a HDMI input. The tricky bit is usually handling all the audio workflow, as you need to make sure your guest doesn't hear themselves back. Ecamm is great for that as it handles it all for you :)

  • @akmediaproductions

    Agree on the macro part.. thanks for your time on this..however I Would say BMD kind of lost the game when compared to Yolobox on the graphics integration etc.. and you know well they won’t listen to small customers needs..

    • @AlexPettitt
      @AlexPettitt  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd be interested to hear what your customer needs are re GFX. I think BM's stance with graphics is they'll provide basic stills stores etc, but as soon as you need to do something more complex like title generation...then they'd look for you to incorporate an external graphics engine and bring that in as an input.

    You know, NewTek Tricaster has a complete training course on the functions, and practical tip, and tricks, plus a certification program to use their product.
    I've yet to see something come from BMD that comes close to what they offer.
    You can tell me me everything about the ATEM until I'm blue in the face.
    But until I see it in action with setup, scripting out the event with lower 3rds, A and B roll clips in the cue, and audio setup. It means nothing.
    That's why I am having a hard time coming to BMD from NewTek.

  • @avi8r66
    @avi8r66 ปีที่แล้ว

    Features like this are a great example of how BMD offers some very cool products but seems to have a knack for stopping just short of making them good. In this case, a simple way to re-order the macros, and/or assign macros to the atem extreme macro buttons rather than simply hard linking them to positions 1-6 in the list. This kind of 'stop just short of making the product great' thinking is carried throughout the BMD product line up, and for the premium dollar they charge this should not be acceptable to anyone.
