My favorite trick (especially in darkers shots) is to put the small candleholder (from beauty and beast) behind my character and/or any objects I want emphasized - it creates a glow around your character and separates you from your background. You can put the bigger lights slightly behind bigger objects and it gives them also a light aura! This gives so much depth and the possibility to highlight your character from the background

WOW, these are phenomenal, the pillar has such a cool effect! i wonder if anyone can figure out how to do a few colours at once and maybe have an aurora borealis effect, although just one pillar also gives that kinda effect... beautiful
I don't think it would work cause each pillar will need to be in the same focal length to the camera:(

I kinda had an idea about the first one since it's similar to studio lights but the third one blew my mind, it's genius. Also that final image is definitely Dreamsnap worthy

This is really interesting and helpful. I like to use the dreamlight tree for sparkles.

Thanks so much MrStarInSky for these tips, I usually get 1000-2500 Moonstones & I sometimes get bummed because I put a good amount of effort,I also play on switch so it is far more annoying to decorate so hopefully this will help with my next dreamsnap!
I feel your pain on the Switch deficiencies. The 600 item limit & the fact that it includes spawned items makes me see red 😡🤬

Thanks for this Vid. I LOVE to see creative use of Lighting in the Dreamsnaps. What I HATE to see though is lights used where they make no sense, like desk and bedside lamps or Candlearbras just scattered all over a Scene.
I did the light thing with my Dr F submission and it paid off ❤

Great lighting tips! The stars in your night sky are so beautiful. That helps the vibe of your picture all by itself. PS5 don't get any stars in our night sky and it's so annoying.
Nintendo switch either. It's so bright in the sky at night and the only stars are the character constellations

How are you saving images within the game? I'm on Nintendo switch & I don't recall seeing that option anywhere. I can take a screenshot picture with the switch console itself, but it has nothing to do with the game and there's no gallery within the game as far as I know.
You can share an image using qr code, there is an option right after you take a picture with camera
I always take Pictures with the pillar Lights.
Ok so my thing is.... I've been playing since day one.!
I have never had a option or make or purchase many of the lighting more less many of the other features like that fantastic snow cloud, the ferris wheel 🎡 etc.
Snow cloud is from Olaf’s friendship quest and Ferris wheel was in the star path.
And lights are crafted items from the crafting table.
