WHAT A BEAUTIFUL INTERVIEW - Thank you Richard for your absolute eloquence in presenting this program tonight. Marc is nothing short of the biggest gift ever that this project could possibly have and I have no doubt all who see it will be thankful for the love and care he gave to every moment in making it from day one. Generations to come will be able connect with such an important piece of LGBTQ history because of Marc and how he crafted this storytelling with his vision, and your audience could certainly feel that in this golden interview! Others have tried to tell the STUDIO ONE story over the years where Marc has succeeded. Also, what a lovely surprise from you to have Celeste onboard tonight as well. I can't wait to view more on your channel here that I just subscribed to. I'm a new fan for sure! And a grateful one at that.
    Warmly...Lloyd Coleman

This was an amazing in depth interview by Marc Saltarelli! The stories, the history behind Studio one we so open and honest. Brought back so many memories of the gay bar scene in the 70's. While many were good, there were many that were not. While in a separate state, I also grew up in the gay bar scene from 1971 through 1984 and agree that the story of Studio one is a an important story of LGBTQ history. I am so grateful to Mark for the telling this important story and his successful journey to learn the history of our great community. I am just so sad that we are losing what I and many others feel is a very historical building. I was also very happily surprised to be able to catch a clip one my favorite women I worked with in the 80's at the Warehouse cafe in Hartford, CT and that ever so Talented "Celeste" Loved her so much!!

This important edition evokes emotional memories of a heartbreakingly devastating era, a coming of age, and the forging of incomparable friendships. Many thanks to Marc, Richard, Rosey, the rest of Richard's production family, and the triumvirate of current sponsors.
Carol, Chita, and Joan gave/give some of the world's best, memorably heartwarming hugs. (So does Lily Tomlin among others.) Bob Redford became a wonderful event client in 2001. Elizabeth, surrounded by fourteen bodyguards, graced the unveiling reception for Seagram lobby tapestries the evening after John Lennon's death. These and other notables have helped shine much-needed light into stigmatized, castigated corners that have been marginalized and not ensured perpetual equity, respect, and stability. These persons' presence elevated/elevates the ambience wherever they were/are, and added/adds gravitas to any occasion... be it a "dance hall," fête, fundraiser, private soiree, dinner party, or intimate night club.
One day onward could not be soon enough for quality of life, dignity, and universal human rights to be afforded to all. Marc's remarkable endeavors are helping the global community get closer to that unity among celebrated distinctions and commonalities.

    Gratefully,
    Alan C.

This was such a wonderful interview as Michael Salterelli takes us back in time to the 1980's. Indeed, unlike what Thomas Wolfe said, "you CAN go home again!!"

Sadly I was only 13 in 1974, dang. But I read about this years later. I missed it because of my age, dang, again.
