Was a blessing in the end , she said , because she could be free of the music industry's expectations .
The photo of the Pope she tore up had belonged to her abusive drug addicted mother .
Even after all the abuse she suffered at the hand of her mother
she LONGED to see her and be with her again in the afterlife .
The pain of losing her 17 year old son by his own hand last year , whom she said was a soul mate ... was too much to bear .

Perhaps the best 1st step to understanding Sinead O'Connor's complex artistic relationship to the Catholic Church is to react to her performance of Bob Marley's "War" on Saturday Night Live in 1992. Yeah, Sinead was a Protest Singer, she may have jeopardized her 'American' career but Hypocritical America was boo-ing her without really even knowing why.
Sinead spoke directly to the American audience, [& anyone else watching], about the Catholic Churches & the Blood they carry on their hands.
"They're" a bunch of Sick, Lying Paedophiles & Sinead called them out for their "Demonic, Sexual-Predators" ways! The pain & hurt they've caused to Hundred'a's of thousands of Children, Adolescents & Adults is Deplorable & Abhorrant to say the least!
