  • Hydretain is More than what you think it is. watch this video to the end and you will know what the PRO's use but don't tell you about. Lesco is pretty much the same thing but it is called Moisture manager. Both of the products can reduce your watering by 50 percent.

    Little trick I do with this product for a 'boost'. I put some granules down of Revive. It's a wetting agent with some iron but mostly it helps water penetrate the soil deeper and easier. Next I use 3oz of baby shampoo per 1k sq ft and spray the lawn down. Next I spray some Revive on top with the liquid sprayer. I water that in for about 15 minutes. Then I spray Hydretain down(I use the liquid in my sprayer) and water it all in deeply. Everything works together to pull water deeper into your soil and quickly treating like this first makes sure the Hydretain gets into the soil well.
    I'm a bit of a lawn junkie but I'm able to keep a dark green lawn in 100 degree heat in Dallas all summer. This product helps over the summer during drought times because even with an inch of water, at 105 for a week the grass struggles. Also highly recommend liquid Sea Kelp if you're in a hot area over summer. There isn't one "miracle" treatment of anything out there but Hydretain works and I use it every summer now.

    I appreciate your knowledge of yard maintenance. You always try to find lawn supplies that the average person can afford. I am retired and on a budget so cost is very important to me. Some of these guy’s use stuff that is very expensive and people like me can’t afford. Enjoy your videos very much.

    I tried liquid Hydratain this past summer on my St. Augustine here in North Texas and it kept my lawn hydrated for sure. The spots in the lawn that typically require extra attention really took off for the first time in 12 years! It's a new "must have" for my lawn domination arsenal. Keep the great content comin'!🔥👍🏾

    I used it this summer. I don’t know what to make of it. This was one of the driest summer ever. So 90+ degrees and no rain isn’t a good combination. I live in Rockport, Indiana. I’m gonna try it again. I’m gonna use it early/ middle of may and not June.

    Thanks BYD. I used Hydratain this year and reduced my water bill by 1/3rd. Saved about 100 bucks a month on my water bill in June through August.

      @@BYDonBermudaGrassCentral "Show me the MONEY!!" Hydratain is also good for spot spraying areas where the irrigation doesn't quite put enough water down.

    Not sure what the actual benefit is with this for me. I did an app this year and asked on the LCN site if I should water less often or cut the amount I'm watering in half and the consensus was to keep watering at the normal rate and pace so I'm not sure what it accomplished. Taking that advice I didn't alter my watering at all. Maybe it helped, maybe it didn't. But I still only watered 7 or 8 times thru the whole season based on the rain we got. I'm in Alabama and I honestly feel like it was a waste of time and money but I could be wrong. War Eagle.

      The point is you get more with that watering(say an inch per week) than by not using it. You can't go visually check to see you're getting deeper roots, or check to see that water is going deeper into the soil. It also helps make sure all that water is going to the roots and not rolling off, pooling, etc. You should do your own testing with this stuff. Use it on a small section, water it once then stop and see how the treated area is in comparison. You absolutely can lower the watering required with this, but this isn't some product people can just walk outside and expect to say "oh yes it worked", not all products work that way and usually the ones that do aren't good for your lawn because legit benefits come over time and gradually

      You should do some research before you tell people it’s a gimmick. There are multiple videos showing the benefits of it and of it actually working. Not everyone is out to get you or trick you.

    • @LonghornsLegend
      @LonghornsLegend 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It works extremely well it's just not a product you can expect to throw down, stand in the lawn and see visual results immediately. You can't see your roots growing deeper. It's like saying slow release fertilizers are a waste of money because if I put one app down on a terrible lawn I won't see any results immediately
