I love your channel, I thought that I was going to have to pay a ridiculous amount of money in order to learn everything you are teaching here. I'm in London at the moment but my family home is in Scotland and I am building an Off Grid cabin/studio where I can stay for long periods without being under my sisters feet, and work as nuch or as little as I want (of course any commission takes priority, for example re-stringing pearls. ..it costs upwards of seventy pounds GB £ and I will do it for twenty. ..This has been helpful in word-of-mouth trade) I have been wanting to learn about gold and silver smithing for a while now...PMC has its place, and you can make many beautiful pieces using autumn leaves for instance and a multitude of other things. I have used the copper and bronze too for keyring charms which I intend to donate to one of the wildlife charities. I am so grateful that you have opened up a whole new avenue of technical knowledge. ..I actually went and found out how to make my own 'Kiln'? box for melting metal clay and I am ready to move on. You have given me the best Christmas present (a little early but near enough) I have ever had...I have registered my Company name and I just have to take, I believe its around one hundred GB pounds and a piece of my own work weighing seven grams or bigger and I can register my very own hallmark at the London Assay office (that lovely leopards face). Ok I'm taking too much of your time but I can never thank you enough xx

I always await your next video. I learn so much from watching you work. I assume you are using hard solder to do all the soldering on this ring, is that correct?
Thanks again for all of your video lessons. We all appreciate it greatly.

Just reading all the comments the same as mine...it's ridiculously expensive to do courses unless you are 16-20 and intend to be a jeweller. The only other available avenue is Art School and I can't afford either as my money that I make is usually re-invested in tools and materials. Like all of you I think this Gentleman is doing a huge service to so many people who otherwise wouldn't get past basic beading and wirework with a bit of PMC on top. xx

I have a question in relation to this video. Did you mention attaching a bezel cup to this ring and would you use easy solder for this. I'm a newbie and find your videos very helpful.

Hello my friend . I have to ask you, what are you using for your flux, if its borax cone type, could you do a video on how to prepare the borax flux. Also what do you use for pickle, I love the idea of a cold pickle. Your videos are awesome and Im learning so much from you. Thank you so much Mr Harrison. ! Keep up your magnificent work/teachings.

DSWideman u can use vinegar and salt as a cold pickle, works really well.. An better when heated.. Also borax cone is so easy to use. Simple add way to an unglazed plate/saucer/or even a piece of slate. Rub the cone on the wet surface for a minute or two an u will have a milky white solution, this is your borax Flux ready to go. If it dries just add more water..! I recommend the cone. An it will last u years.. Hope this was some help to u
