    Great build, particularly liked the chipping, tool handle wood grain and dust effects 👍🏻

    Nice work on the model! I have this kit my stash and your tutorial will be very helpful when it comes time to the paint and weather. Keep 'em coming!

    Love the idea of mixing pignent with white spirit to form a dust/dirt wash. Not heard of that technique before, but will be trying it from now on. Thanks for the tip👍

    Superb. I like how you didn't go overboard with the chipping, and applied several layers of surface dust. The effect you've achieved is subtle and very realistic. I haven't made an AFV for a long time (I prefer 1/72 aircraft) but you've inspired me to have a go at one again.

      Hi Ian thankyou very much, its tricky to stay in that fine line between underweathered and over and I'm glad you think it's about right, feedback is always good , good or bad. Best of luck with your future armour builds

    Very nice work. 👍👍👍Great mix idea and airbrushing technique with the Mission Models paint. Like your use of Oils to weather the model.
    I have this kit partially built. I did go with aftermarket tracks by Panda Plastics and Echelon Decals M3 Grant and Lee collection. On doing the roadwheels rubber tires, I use a Quickwheel Mask, I ordered off Ebay, and it works quite well and saves a little time.😏😁

    • @lpjmodels
      @lpjmodels  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks a lot ! I'm scared of tracks as it is, the link and length ones were enough for me. Although I do want to try some Metal tracks at some point.
      I hope you enjoy the rest of your build !

    Love the way you use and explain all the techniques using oil paints. I definitely need a good gradation brush. Hasegawa have some gradation brushes but they are a bit expensive. I will try to find the same brand as yours. Thank you !!!

    • @lpjmodels
      @lpjmodels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The hasegawa looks very suspiciously like a makeup brush, might be worth seeing if there is anything similar in a local beauty shop !

I respect the way you do things and thus why I like watching your videos so much... well and you're a hell of a good modeller as well. Stay safe my friend.

    Very nice work... I was curious about your choice of Light Stone, as I always thought that was an RAF colour, while the Army used Middle Stone. Always something new to learn!

    • @lpjmodels
      @lpjmodels  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks ! After some research I found they used a Scc colour that was penned as light stone, I dont know much about british armour but it married up with the Mission Models colour ok .

    Hi James, wow, what a fine job, it looks fantastic. I've only recently come across your channel. I'm glad I did. I have one of these in the stash, in fact I believe I've got the old tamiya one, to. If I wasn't doing a build along on the new Rye fields M-ATV or basically an Mrap, on my channel, I would of done mine after seeing this excellent video 9f yours. Stay safe buddy, I'm looking forward to your next video

    Are you using any transparent medium to get the more translucent coats? I know sometimes MMP can get fussy when excessively reduced

    • @lpjmodels
      @lpjmodels  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi J. L., usually I do but I ran out for this build, so it was just thinner and poly. I think I actually overthinned the paint this time.

      @@lpjmodels Also one last question..about what would you say your olivegrun/elf/gleb ratios were for the mottling? It doesn't look too stark..maybe 80/10/10?

    • @lpjmodels

      No I got a little overspray, I'll just be more careful next time, usually get tight spraying all the time.
